As some of you know, I'm having fun doing some YouTube videos lately. I thought I'd start a thread for my award race video series. I'm going to be doing bi-weekly MVP and Rookie-of-the-Year Ladders (Basically, power rankings for the award race). I might do one for Most Improved as well. Figured I'd start a thread and update the OP throughout the season and we can discuss the award races. MVP Ladder: 12/2/2017 ROY Ladder: 12/23/2017 MIP Ladder: Possibly Coming Soon
Haven't watched video yet but here is mine if the season ended today: 1. Harden 2. Kyrie 3. Lillard 4. Curry 5. Towns 6. Giannis 7. Porzingis 8. LeBron 9. Cousins 10. (tie) Drummond/Durant
Giannis is averaging 31/9/8 and he's 6th in the MVP race? He's one or two. Can't take this seriously when you make a mockery of it.
It's too early to take record into account much IMO. Therefore I'm looking at mostly stats rn. Record will come more into play as the season goes along.
Mockery? He's an awesome player. That's why he's as high as 6th. If season ended today, Bucks would be 10th in East. Can't be MVP if you are 10th in a weak conference. That will never happen. Of course, if Bucks rise in standings, then he rises on my ladder. A player on a sub .500 team will never be MVP. Ever.
