Two reasons that doesn't make sense: 1. For the Knicks: Boozer and D'Antoni just don't fit. More importantly 2. For the Jazz: the Jazz have the Knicks' unprotected pick. They want the Knicks to suck as much as possible. With Boozer, the Knicks could be vaguely respectable.

No. They may as well wait and see what happens with Millsap. If he matches, Utah is even more desperate to deal Boozer. OKC, if they want Boozer, is handling this in an ideal manner.
I agree with the 2nd point, I haven't thought about that. Although they got to give some to get some. But I think Boozer would do just fine in D'Antoni's system. What does David Lee do that he can't?

Perhaps Utah isn't willing to budge on Boozer until they make a decision on Millsap. Or, OKC waits it out and offers him next summer.
I wonder what Miami would give up for Boozer in a potential 3 way trade. I'm assuming they would want to keep Beasley, and play him at SF. Would they move Chalmers, though? What about a 3 way trade like so: Miami In: Boozer, Blake Miami Out: Chalmers, Haslem, Wright, 4 million dollar TPE(separate deal with Blake) Why: Gives them a solid PG to play alongside Wade in Blake. And a top 10 PF. Solid lineup of Blake, Wade, Beasley, Boozer, O'Neal. Doesn't affect any 2010 plan, either. Portland In: Chalmers, Haslem, Harpring Portland Out: Blake, Outlaw Gets a backup PF in Haslem. Tough minded SF in Harpring. Starting PG in Chalmers. Utah In: Outlaw, Wright Utah Out: Boozer, Harpring Why: Sheds 12 million in salary, allowing them to easily slide Millsap's salary into Boozer's slot. Wright and Outlaw both expire. Not too sure how much I like it. A lot depends on Chalmers, and how much we would value him, and whether you want him as your starting PG next season and beyond. Is he an improvement for this season? Was a pretty good defender at the PG spot. 37% 3 point shooter. I dunno. It also addresses the backup PF slot with Haslem, and a 3rd string SF who coul djust be the annoying pain in the ass he already is, for us as opposed to against us.
RR7, I'd pass on that. We're giving up 2 mediocre players and our cap space for 3 mediocre players. Not much of an upgrade. If we really can't find anything for our cap space I'd rather just take on a bad contract at the price of draft pick(s). Similar to what SEA(OKC) did in the Kurt Thomas deal with Phoenix.
It could also make sense for Utah if they thought Milsap wasn't really happy living in SLC, and therefore might not keep giving 100%.
The difficulty in a Lee-Boozer swap is Lee would become BYC if he were to sign for a large deal, making matching salaries very difficult between the two teams.
The Bulls have been acting very odd since we signed Millsap to an offer sheet. They have signed 2 more PG's in Pargo and Hunter, and now waived Tim Thomas.
Not really. They are just improving their team. Pargo will play SG for them, and Hunter is just a mentor to Rose, like last year. He doesn't play. Thomas was never going to play anyways, so they might as well clear up a roster space.
