Boozer is turning out to be huge for your team. Many people expected Lebron to bring Cleveland to the top, but as of now, it looks like Booze is also an important piece of that puzzle.

LeBron wont make it to the top by himself. every great player has a equally great teammate.

We need to find some chlone of Stromile Swift to give us that athletic defensive presense who can also run the floor. Too many time Z and Booz get burned as they are both slow footed, and with Battie forever out, we have no answer. Diop is ten years away from contributing so we need to look elsewhere!

Keon Clark is a free agent this summer!!!

I wouldn't say every player has a great teammate.
KG is one of the best players in the game, and until this year he almost had no help. In this case i will agree though that boozer and james feed off of eachothers sucsess.

Hey, call me crazy, but when Terrell Brandon was in his prime with the wolves, he was awesome.

He was a great player, but he was never a super star. He did help kevin when he was in his prime though.

It all depends on how one interprets an MVP. Some people believe it's scoring, or by reaching a certain statistical threshold. LeBron's 20-5-5 definitely looks better than Boozer's 14-11-2 in this scenario. Personally, I try to examine their overall statistical impacts before arriving at a conclusion.

A good place to start is by measuring a player's overall production efficiency. There are formulas available that help answer questions such as, "Boozer may not score 20 ppg, but he shoots 52% which is much better than 40%." Not to pick on LeBron, but you get the point. LeBron's made shots are counted as positives, while his missed shots are negatives. Applying both the positives and negatives of his scoring to his rebounds, turnovers, and everything else, gives us a final score that we can use to compare his efficiency, or impact, with everyone else. These formulas don't necessarily make a higher graded player better than everyone else below him, but they're tools, like a second pair of eyes, which help us arrive at a more accurate conclusion.

Personally, I don't want to compare LeBron and Boozer. They're both Cavaliers, two of my favorite players, and they play different positions, so they both bring something different to the table. However, there's a reason why bigs rule the NBA, and it has everything to do with how much more efficient they are than guards. They play closer to the hoop, so the good ones will almost always benefit their teams more than guards. The dunks, tips, baby hooks, and 5 foot jumpers add up over time. The same with rebounds. Their interior defense helps as well, although neither Boozer or LeBron are known for their defense (yet?), so that comparison can just GTF outta here right now! [IMG]

    Efficiency Formula: ((PTS + REB + AST + STL + BLK) - ((FGA - FGM) + (FTA - FTM) + TO)) / G

    Boozer 21.66 - 16th
    LeBron 17.71 - 35th

    Magic Metric

(It's formula is much more complex, so not worth posting...)

    Boozer - 24th
    LeBron - 37th

    +/- Rating

(Measures how good or bad a team is when player is on the floor)

    Boozer +4.9
    LeBron -1.6

The bottom line is, it doesn't matter who the team MVP is at this point. The team still has a losing record, so until that changes, only Duncan, Shaq, and the KG's will matter, as they're the true MVP's of the league.

He was actually in his prime with the Cavaliers. He was injured to often with the Wolves to have a prime with us.

I remember when TB was still a Cavalier, Sports Illustrated once had him on the cover, which labeled him "The best PG in the NBA."

I know one thing, as good as he was offensively, he was also one of the best at protecting the ball.

    You are correct.

Hard to believe so many teams passed over him, I mean, why?

IIRC, Boozer was overweight at the time and considered a 'tweener,' which meant he was too small to play Center, but not mobile enough to play Power Forward. Height wise, he's still barely tall enough to play PF as it is, but his performance says otherwise.

No other team saw his potensial, but the only thing they can do is to cry like babys now, cause now, Cavs have Boozer, and they will do every thing they have power to do, to keep him in the red and wine colored jersey!

KG cant even make it out of the 1st round of the play offs. He hasnt exactly made it to the top yet. T-Mac is one of the best players in the game, but I definitely wouldnt wish his situation on my worst enemy. The whole point of the game is WINNING.

Tom Brady of the patriots & Jake Delhomme of the Panthers werent even drafted by NFL teams. The blazers took Sam Bowie rather than Michael Jordan in the draft. Things like this happen all the time. Sports is an inexact science. The most hyped players may turn out to be flops, & the least hyped players may turn out to be the superstars.

This thread is more about which one is the best of LeBron and Boozer, not about Boozer as team MVP!
