Lets see. There is an FA thread. There is a TPE thread. And I think there are a few more on these topics too. But sure, We absolutely needed another thread for this topic of who is available at the SF for the TPE. Im gonna help you and start a thread for who is available at the PF for the TPE. When i'm done, Ill help you more and create another thread for SG's available with the TPE, for when we trade CJ. Then we can create a trade CJ thread for each of the potential targets. Its all about teamwork. I am here to help you any way I can.
...how about you offer actual "brainstorming" in the OP as @Orion Bailey pointed out, there are countless threads for you to easily find answers to your question -- but simply asking a question with no input or contributions is just lazy -or- ???
I see what you are saying, but you're the one who declared that you know more about basketball than anyone else on this forum, so you'd have to admit that you've set yourself up for rough ride around here. If you create threads when one already exists you're gonna get extra helpings of shit for it. You may consider creating another board name so you can have a fresh start. Or you could simply double down on your supreme confidence in your vast knowledge of basketball and just become an insufferable bombastic cock like several other posters here.
I honestly don't care, I'm worried about the future of this forum with so many people giving me shit, becaue what all you people are not doing is proving your basketball knowledge exceeds mine which just proves my point
What threads answer my question? There are maybe 10-15 posters still here who even discuss the Blazers. Most posts are just worthless chit-chat and you have to go through full pages of bullshit to get any info/ Exactly like in this thread that I started asking what SF we could get for the TPE and got replies giving me anything but answers. I'm hoping this is just this place going downhill and not the entire city. Maybe it's the country, with Trump and all
Forget about it. Our team is pathetic. No options to get better. Look at our SF position: ET is worthless, not starting caliber. Aminu and Harkless are Tweeners, better as PFs and not very good either way. And our only SF showing some promise is Jake Layman who probably wouldn't get off the bench. Makes it hard to get excited about next year when other than Dame, Cj, Maybe Nurkic and the SL team, there's not much to be optimistic about
So basically you just summed up the glaringly obvious. This breaks no new ground......and all the whining in the world isn’t going to change that. And this is exactly why those who continue to flog a dead and rotting horse ad nauseum are finding themselves on ignore. If the front office can’t change the facts, then a bunch of delusional, arm chair “experts” certainly aren’t going to save the day.......be a fan and root for the team we have or change allegiances to a squad that better fits your vision.......
The Blazers hope lies in Harkless’s attitude and acceptance of who he is as an NBA player, and playing to his strengths, Zach Collins becoming at the least a Good back up C/PF, and or one of the young guys making a big jump. In terms of the TPE I really think after saying how great an asset it is for almost a year it’s rather frustrating it looks like it won’t be used. I’m not sure there are many teams right now who want to give someone away for basically nothing... frustrating being a Blazer fan at the moment, sure is. but to put some perspective on it, the Blazers record keeps going up they need to win the playoffs we all know that. There are a few threads with lists of guys who fit, with the TPE, though to be fair you will have to read quite a bit to get to the basketball parts.
On the main fucking page just a spot or two down from your post is the fucking thread titled "TPEs (Traded Player Exceptions", please read it (294 posts).
Your homework for the day. Here's a list of all NBA players who will be making between $10 and $13 million in 2018-19. Go through the list, tell us who you want and why. I'll leave it to you to figure out who the SFs are and who is "realistically available". That should get the ball rolling. 87. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist $13,000,000 87. Khris Middleton $13,000,000 89. Mason Plumlee $12,917,808 90. Wilson Chandler $12,800 91. Solomon Hill $12,763,467 92. Nikola Vucevic $12,750,000 93. Dion Waiters $12,705,000 94. Austin Rivers $12,650,000 95. Joe Ingles $12,545,455 96. Jeremy Lin $12,516,746 97. Jordan Clarkson $12,500,000 97. Nikola Mirotic $12,500,000 99. Miles Plumlee $12,400,000 99. Tyreke Evans $12,400,000 101. Courtney Lee $12,253,780 102. Kemba Walker $12,000,000 102. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope $12,000,000 104. TJ Warren $11,750,000 105. Zach Randolph $11,692,308 106. Patrick Mills $11,571,429 107. Alec Burks $11,536,515 108. Omer Asik $11,977,527 109. Kelly Olynyk $11,137,527 110. Jusuf Nurkic $11,111,111 111. Iman Shumpert $11,011,234 112. Moe Harkless $10,837,079 113. Tony Snell $10,607,143 114. Dante Exum $10,600,000 115. Meyers Leonard $10,595,506 116. John Henson $10,577,466 117. Bojan Bogdanovic $10,500,000 117. Mirza Teletovic $10,500,000 117. Terrence Ross $10,500,000 120. Robert Covington $10,464,092 121. Jon Leuer $10,002,681 122. Andre Roberson $10,000,000 122. Darren Collison $10,000,000 122. Danny Green $10,000,000 Don't like any of those guys (we can use the TPE on any player making up to $13 million), here's a complete list of all player salaries for 2018-19, and beyond. BNM
This thread is about targets for the TPE. We can't combine assets with the TPE to get Middleton. We could potentially work two separate trades with MIL, but salaries would have to match for both trades. You do the math and tell us what works. Preferably something MIL would actually consider, not just swapping our shit contracts for theirs. BNM
More serious note do you think the raps give us Danny Green for the TPE? Not a huge green fan, but he fits the “wing with vet experience”. Not even sure Green is eligible to be traded again.
If we're talking about the TPE, it seems like the questionSSSS should be 1) "Which SF is a team willing to just let go to clear salary, that is also clearly better than Harkless." 2) "Which PF is a team willing to just let go to clear salary, that is also clearly better than Aminu." As far as I can tell, the answers are none and none, but if anyone has alternate answers, I'd be all ears (tell me "who" and "why", not just "who"). I don't think we take on a huge amount of $$$$ for some that is about as good or not as good as Harkless or Aminu, but if someone disagrees, I'd be interested in their logic (not just a "who" but a "why").
