I think the Blazers should get Brandon Jennings and trade for Brandon Wright. Let's have the all-Brandon team.

And bring in Brandon Bass for our backup PF.

I agree 100%. I'd love to draft him, and have him grow out the flat top again, and Oden grow out a HUGE 70s style afro and beard.

"And starting at center is Greg Oden... Oden's seven feet tall, seven foot six with the afro..."

That's how we stop Yao next year.:biglaugh:

We should use Bayless/Outlaw to get the Memphis pick and work on getting a hold of Jennings, Rubio (if he stays declared but has to stay a year) or Michael Conley. I'm good with any of the three.

Say we signed Andre Miller too (and cut Blake's ass)

    Miller/(Conley/Jennings/Rubio)/Koponen
    Roy/Fernandez
    Webster/Batum
    Aldridge/(vet/Mcdyess)/Freeland
    Oden/Pryzbilla

I like that versatility, potential, and experience a lot.

Sure, that sounds great in theory, but I think a lot of people are overestimating just how high the Blazers are going to be able to move up or how much trade value some of our fringe players are going to have in trade. Bayless + Outlaw might get you Jennings (who I'm not sure I'd want over Bayless anyway), but isn't nearly enough to get you Rubio or Conley.

Think of how hard it was to move up from 13 to 11 last year just to get Bayless, now imagine what it would take go from 24 to top ten let alone number 2 overall.

How hard was it? We WANTED to get rid of Jarrett Jack!

It completely depends. Remember how easy it was to move up from 4 to 2 (Tyrus Thomas + Khryapa for Aldridge) or to get the #7 pick (for Telfair) or to move up from 7 to 6 ($3M - okay, that's easy for me, because it's not my $3M) to get Brandon Roy?

I think you're right that a top 2 pick will be exhorbitant, but there's a steep drop off after that, and I think a lot of teams will be quite keen to offload them, particularly financially-strapped teams who want to bundle them with bad contracts (which we are in a position to absorb).

    That would be sweet.

Opponents coach: Ok, your going to guard Brandon!

    Player: Which one?
