You'll notice he keeps saying this in multiple threads (the microfracture bit), but refuses to come back after it's pointed out he's pulling it out of his ass and presenting it as fact after reading a bad joke on another board.

Exactly right. The issue is swelling. You often times can't visualize the injury properly until the swelling subsides.
