Bad choice. Downgrade from Nate. Can only cause confusion and disarray. This team is adrift at sea, with a leaky hull.
Yeah, as much as I think this team needs an offensive philosophy and I do think Nate appears to need some help...I don't like this meddling by Vulcan at all....
I'm reserving judgement.. I learned a few years ago I know nothing about assistants lol. I remember I said "Chip Kelly? Who the F.... Why.... WTF?" etc lol boy was I wrong.
KV made it a point to mention that this directive came from Seattle and didn't have any influence with the possibility of Monty leaving. He could have been emphasizing that for some extra drama, who knows.
The Vulcans have hired an assistant coach who can take over if Nate needs to be fired mid season. Shot across the bow...
Move 1 = Fire KP's assistant. Move 2 = Hire "Ghost-Coach" to take over Nate's job Seems like Larry Miller runs this team now, and the whole "25-point Pledge 7-year rebuild for a dynasty Portland can be proud of" has been deemed a complete failure. Should be a busy off-season.
I can't prove it, but I'm pretty sure all your incessant talk about a "dynasty" put a hex on this team. Kindly stfu about that stuff.
I don't see why folks are so surprised about this. It's not like Nate has been totally kicking ass as a coach. He does ok. He also leaves a lot to be desired. Let's put it this way. Every game I see Nate make mistakes and not learn from them. But some games he surprises me and does something I don't expect that works out well. It's a mixed bag. A veteran coach coming in gives a voice he will have to listen to.
If anything I think its just PA turning up the heat on this little cake we've been baking. Hopefully we don't get burned.
Current 2yr plus Rose Garden sellout steak proves you're wrong. Obviously this is a team we can be proud of.
