im all about getting hayes, however 2 things...

first I read he is close to signing with kings or returning to hosuton. no mention of blazers.

second, I think the blazers have already targeted pryz for ticket sales and the fan base.

The Joel debate needs its own thread.
Camby is only good for about 25 min/game IMO. I'm not so sure Joel and his knee's can handle more than 10 min/game.

I didn't realize we had the inside track on either of those players.

Its the Blazers loss not getting them, not the other way around. As a fan I wanna upgrade not get worse.

And if you are happy with Joel over the two of those guys, well then I get why people make fun of portland and their fans.

So if I understand this right, what the Blazer lose by deciding to keep Roy is a chance to sign Landry to a long term MLE contract. I can live with that.

In fact I hope the Blazers don't tie up a lot of money this year so they have some flexibility for next summer . . . no new long term contracts this year.

Chuck Hayes and Carl Landry are not players you want at center on your team.

I guess we will see what Hayes and Landry will get before the season starts. If they get anything close to max MLE, then we might of had a chance with them. But to be perfectly honest. I wasn't too happy with having a 6'6" center.

Well it's pretty obvious we got mixum back. Just a change of moniker. Can't wait for the doom and gloom posting after each loss and how we could have played better with each win.

With a small market team that FA's don't want to come to you have to build through the draft and trades. You have to use the money ball approach. KP did this, and with a different coach and no injuries this team would have been awesome. It is time to start over, only this time you have a much better foundation with Aldridge, Batum and maybe Felton.

There are absolutely no quick answers, but Roy on this team, with all the gazelles is DEFINITELY not the answer

no i want them to backup aldridge! we need that toughness off bench. guys who play excellent defense, not to mention landry could score.

you do realize with all the back to backs, the chances aldridge wont get hurt and the chances of camby staying healthy are zero with all those games. enter landry or hayes. not pryzbilla.

Need to look at not just how much but for how many years. Doesn't make much sense for the Blazers to tie up a lot money in the future for a hayes or Landry. Not with so much uncertainty about next year.

I just look at it as Roy was the Blazers signing this year . . . a one year deal to see what he can do. I like it!

I think he's just saying you don't want a 6'7" center. I would love having either of those guys as our backup PF though!

Lots of cap room isn't going to help much next summer if we don't have a shot at CP3, Howard or DWill. The rest of the unrestricted free agent crop are awful. We need to acquire players by trading expiring deals like Camby if we want a legit impact player.

Holding onto Roy is just going to mess with the rotation since he will likely need to take games off. He'll also hold back the progression of Matthews and Batum by taking away touches for them on offense. Let's also not forget all the players blowing by Roy on defense and getting our bigs in foul trouble. Keeping in Roy is gonna be ugly.

Yes great avatar. And yes HCP thats what Im saying. We need a quality backup PF more then anything on this team. How many years have we seen this glaring hole in post season play? Would be nice to address it just once.

But as far as Portland fans go, they are the best home crowd in the league but also in love with anyone who ever wears the jersey. Pryz is done.

Was it Tracy Murrey who tried to check into a game and noticed he had nothing on under his sweat jacket? Turned around and went straight back to the locker room?
