Blazers guard Brandon Roy set to arrive in Portland Tuesday night and will presumably begin workouts Wednesday at team's practice facility

If B-Roy is here for the season he won't be playing more than 20-25 mpg. Not a problem.

My opinion..... Brandon realizes his limitations by the end of pre season and accepts an reduced roll. We will average more points per game then last season.

Honest question for you, John. What makes you believe Brandon will realize his limitations this year when he didn't realize them last year?

OK GP, that makes sense to me.

If Roy is released after the free agents are swallowed up and the Blazers missed a chance to get a FA, that could show that manangement made a mistake with Roy (assuming they had a shot at Landry or Hayes).

I still think they don't want any more multi-year contracts right now, but they are tying their hands right now on the risk of Roy being able to be productive . . . and if this is all done just to appease fans and they plan to cut Roy, that would suck.

I still don't think that is what they are doing, but I guess that could be a possibility. (If they do sign Oden to a multi-year deal or don't use the amnesty clause on Roy before it expires, then they aren't setting this team up to be sold.)

What I thought it was neat... A long winded rant of the same ol shit I've read for 3 years now. This bitching on Roy was around even when he was healthy. And I read some more. The people that think getting Landry or Hayes for max MLE does require a start. That means LMA at center. Last season we saw just how tough it was for Aldridge to play center. Why would we want to take him out of the position he can dominate in? That makes absolutely 0 sense to me.

Who knows, maybe he has had a bit more time to realize his situation. Brandon away from everybody is a real chill quiet guy......he's also very proud, he has to know what people are saying about him. I don't know, I just have a feeling it will start to sink in.

I believe the sit-down with Nate and Co demanded (amidst all the media pressure etc) he do whatever it takes this year to be a Team Player, and he accepted.

And you are that type of fan that was bitching at Roy's game winners even when he was 100%. This is why I can't take posters like you seriously. Oh btw, review my threads and you will find I do agree with many of the "so called" pessimists in this forum about a lot of their opinions. I just have my own. And your "Neat Story" became on because you used your opinion as some sort of fact; which I completely despise. But as you see, your posts and mine are still on the board; which makes this a fun place to read opinions. Don't hate, eat some bacon strips man.

HCP-I agree B Roy's knees wont allow it back to back, but he's got some Brett Favre in him... he knows he done but loves to think he can do it one more time. My concern is Nate who has never run a fast paced team now has his favorite oxen back to play Nate ball.

As for me I've been a Blazer fan for 20 years... I didn't grow up here rather the east coast but I've lived in Ptown long enough to know like the Led Zeppelin song says "The Song Remains the Same!" time for some basketball minds to prevail here....

You're right need a magnifier.... I'm the type who doesn't give a rip if Roy hits the game winner if the whole team doesn't get involved so he can look like a hero 1 game out of 20... I don't cheer for a player who doesn't play defense and slows the offense down so much that other teams are actually looking at the dancers while he walks the ball up the court. Call me a hater but Roy has made a name for Roy, not his team. When he went down LA, Batum, Wes, Camby, Andre and Wallace all shared the ball and played D. Let's see if that happens when ice um up comes back for his next curtain call?

You want a game winning shot, I want a team that wins in the playoffs. Last time I looked a team isn't just one player, and a team wins championships!

Here's some simple questions? Does B Roy make his teamates better? Does he assist them? Does he play defens? Doe he ever look for their shots and mismatches or is he more concerned with his own stats?

Kobe, Wade, Pierce all play defense all get their teamates involved and all have rings.... That's why Roy is not ever in the same conversation with those guys and he always be a second tier player... that and he has NO KNEES!!!!!

LMAO and yet in this post, you explained all our losses are soley on Roy's shoulders; which again proves my point on how pointless and baseless your analogy is.

I think perhaps you and I were watching different teams last year. I thought LA played very well at the center, and I personally think that he's better at the 5 than the 4.

If you want a conspiracy theory...

You wait for the teams that could bid on him if he's cut to use their money elsewhere. Then you cut him do he can join the Heat where he'd be a perfect fit.

No he did play better at center. That wasn't the point. My point was the toll it took on him physically for the duration of the season. Anyone that didn't see that is fooling himself. Be advised that I was a firm advocate of LMA at center last season. That was until the end of the season and the playoffs; when I saw how winded he was. Remember when him and Roy were on the podium after the miraculous game 4 performance. He said he was too tired to even speak. That says a lot.
