And 2 years from now will be better than Blazers after adding high lotto picks while Portland finishes 8-10 seed every season

Yeah because that has worked out so well for the Cavs in the past.

I actually think the Lakers might be done, I bet they will just try and sign Kawhai next summer instead. That’s why they signed so many guys to one year deals.

Yeah they don’t seem particularly fussed with that and for a good reason. Before today it was thought that they needed Kawhi and George to bring LeBron to LA. Now that they have him locked down it becomes clear that they did not need either and could be better off waiting until next year rather than offering Ingram, Kuzma and whatever else Spurs are going to ask for.

Of course they run a risk of not getting him next year either if the PG situation repeats but even then they would probably have a good pitch to throw to Klay or someone else. Speaking of Klay, he would actually be a better fit for them than Kawhi now.

If they keep Ingram and Kuzma both those guys will get better. In a years time they could be perfect complimentary pieces for LeBron’s team, both are good shooters.

This year it could be lots of smaller moves. McGee, Stephenson, Caldwell-Pope, now maybe it’s time for Ellington, Bradley etc.

@BonesJones @Boob-No-More I mentioned this in another thread before the LBJ signing. Does anyone think this is a salary cap violation?

Probably, but you think the NBA will care? They turned a blind eye to this:

    1. Lebron backs his friend Rich Paul to create an agency, Klutch.
    2. In the summer of 2017, when there are few large contracts dished out, LA vastly overpays Klutch client KCP 18 mil a yr
    3. Lebron, also repped by his own agency, signs with LA
    4. LA again overpays KCP to bring him back for 12 mil a yr.

(this notion that Lebron and Klutch aren't related is bogus).

There is collusion and tampering everywhere. What you're noting is a drop in the ocean.

    Kawhi for Irving

Then if we are going full rebuild send Dame to Bos for Tatum/Draft pick/Expirings and let’s build around...

Why would SAS not just do the Kawhi for Tatum directly?

Who would you get behind in a potential Lakers v Warriors conference finals?

From franchise standpoint I prefer Warriors but looking at their respective teams now I think I would actually like Lakers players more despite them being Lakers players. Both are evil anyway.

I'd cheer for a meteor to hit whatever building they're playing in.

Same... why bother being an NBA fan at this point, I'm never going to be a fan of a team besides the Blazer so it's just a waste of time. I'm so disappointed.

Since 1980, ZERO small market teams have won a championship that didn't have either LBJ or Tim Duncan on it. Now, LBJ has joined a big market team, we're not going to win a championship, sorry.

We're all going to die eventually, so what's the point of it all? We fight against the coming dawn, and that my friend is what it's like to truly live!!

Sure, as long as we are just shooting the breeze and realize that this is just a fantasy.
