The for-profit prison industry needs to be abolished and she does not have the tools to accomplish that job. You cannot regulate an industry that you're being paid by. It seems like every other day we're hearing about some unarmed black person being killed by police. When the kid was walking in the street away from the police and they shot him you have to understand that I picture my child. I teach him how to handle the police as a black man who has lived to see if 39 years in a city that's only 6% black. I've had a decent amount of police contact in that 39 years but I'm still alive. I personally know someone who was killed by police 97 seconds after he was pulled over (James Perez). This shit hits home with me. So you will have to forgive me if I respond so tersely when I'm told to chill out about it.

 

You are entirely correct when you talk about me saying we. It is us versus them. And they made it that way. They continue to gun us down left and right when we are unarmed.

That's what's been happening to me in the past two threads.

 

A good example of the biggest loophole of gun control measures. You should never own a gun. And yet you would easily pass a background check. I'm making another assumption.

You never "brandish" a weapon of any sort, nor do you ever fire a warning shot. You never point a gun without intending to kill, because that's what it is designed to do. It's not a toy, it's not a tool for communicating feelings.

Besides signaling that you're not really going to shoot your attacker(s), in Portland firing a warning shot will get you arrested and some jail time, you'll lose your guns and the "legal" right to own them in the future.

I have a friend who it happened to. His lawyer and the police told him had he shot the guy dead rather than fire a warning shot into the dirt there'd be no problem.

If someone is threatening to physically harm someone they should expect them to defend themselves to the death.

And they deserve what they get.
