    This is crazy.

We got a second round pick from MIA to take on Brian Roberts.

UTA gave up a second round pick to ATL to get a worse back up PG in Shelvin Mack.

Just a small tidbit: Roberts is from Ohio. Could click with McCollum quickly.

    Roberts
    McCollum
    Crabbe/Hendo
    Harkless/Vonleh
    Leonard/Davis

I'm loving that second unit even more.

Let's get to know Mr Roberts, shall we?

    http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/r/roberbr01.html

A career 13.3 PER, 35% 3P, 47% 2P, 92% FT shooter. Was the best free throw shooter in the league two years ago with New Orleans.
    A 15.7pt / 4.1ast per 36 minutes guy.
His current season PER of 14.2 would give him the sixth best PER on our team (5th best if you don't include Cliff Alexander).
Not a great defender but definitely improving.

    Seems a bit like a Baby-CJ.

Unless another trade is incoming that we don't know about... We may be able to reach the playoffs as Memphis looks done and the Rockets didn't do shit to get better.

    Dame / Roberts
    CJ / Hendo
    Aminu / Crabbe
Harkless / Leonard / Vonleh (revolving door depending on match ups)
    Plumlee / Davis

I like this; we might FINALLY be able to play 10 minutes with neither Dame nor CJ on the court (Tim's lack of range prevented this). Crabbe moves to SF which I feel like he does better in, and Harkless plays more small ball PF.

BTW--according to NBAdraft.net, Heat already owed their 2016 2nd round pick to Boston and their 2017 2nd round pick to Atlanta. The pick we're getting is likely from 2018.

This also gives the bench another playmaker. He's an underrated scorer. Could mean more rest/off ball time for Lillard/CJ

Not very often to you see teams go 10-11 deep in the playoffs I think we are one of those teams that will if we indeed make the playoffs.

I bet Neil would want that one anyway; I bet we're gunning for the 2018-2021 drafts as the ones we need to hit home runs in.

Even if it's just to lower Dame and CJ's minutes heading into the playoffs, it'll reap benefits.

Not to nit pick, but I wonder if maybe Aminu should be considered more for the PF minutes and Harkless for the SF minutes.
Aminu is a little heavier and a few inches longer than Harkless. I think he matches up better.

Yeah but I just put hark with the 4s because he takes a starting role when one of those other two don't play so it's just easier to do it that way.
