Yeah, I kinda get it. But I kinda don't. I like it in everyway possible, other than it means LA would become the frontrunners for Howard, which means I don't like it at all in the end.
At least if we did decide to offer him a contract, we would actually have the money to offer him, unlike Minnesota's dumb ass GM
FUCK IT. Sign him to it. 20hours ago I had the realization we are likely into a long slow painful drawn out rebuild. Lopez isn’t a lock for a good max deal but I’d much rather have him than Batum at $12mil. I agree Brooklyn matches but at least it prevents another superteam from forming. If Nets do get Dwight I think they clearly pass OKC as second best team in the league and a real shot at beating the Heat. I’m not concerned at all about Dwight going to LA, that Lakers team will have no draft picks and bunch of geezers a few years from now. They will be tough this year but we aren’t winning the title yet anyways.
Yeah, saw the JJ deal. I think the Nets are idiots for offering Lopez the max. He missed nearly all of last year and he wasn't great before that. That and Jeff Green are the worst contracts of the summer so far.
I say this not to bait because apparently only outsiders are welcome to do that, but if Batum signs for 11.25 or anything close to that, it will be the worst contract.
Yeah. Jeff Green's deal implies that Batum should be paid the max. Ridiculous deal. The guy is terribly overrated, and is one of those guys that gets his points, but I don't think he really helps his team win ball games. I have never been impressed with him.
I just said was that he's better at those things, which he obviously is. He's obviously not as good at playing more than 30 mpg though
Portland needs to go after ROBIN Lopez. That way Portland would atleast have a Batum & Robin combo.....
Well, Lopez has gotten worse at rebounding every year in the league, and only played in 5 games last year, so Hibbert beat him in that regard
Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA Y! Sources: Brooklyn raises guarantees on max offer to Brook Lopez, clock ticking on chance to do Howard deal.
