<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Magic Johnson:</div><div class="quote_post">I don't really think the move's/changes really matter. The name doesn't make the team. My only concern is for the players, they might not like the move as they might have to go farther for travel or be farther from their loved ones and home. If there are some cases like that, I just hope that there're some positive notes to that one.</div> Brooklyn is near NJ so I don't see that much of a problem. Bring in Jay-Z!
the way i look at it, i can't see there being another nba team in ny besides the knicks. the knicks have been around forever. the brooklyn nets? bah. knicks fans will turn to nets fans.
There are mixed emotions for Brooklyn residents. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">NEW YORK (AP) -- Ask any Brooklynite over 50 when the borough's golden age ended and the answer rarely varies: ``When Dem Bums fled Ebbets Field.'' The Dodgers' 1957 departure robbed Brooklyn of pro sports and, in many residents' minds, split the borough's history. On one side of the divide lie idyllic days of stickball, trolley cars and summers on Coney Island. On the other, years of urban blight, street crime and racial strife. But the still-wounded spirits from Canarsie to Crown Heights lifted a little this week at the sound of two words: Brooklyn Nets.</div> Full Story By MICHAEL WEISSENSTEIN
The Nets are going to really benefit from a financial stand point, as well as build a fan base. Their will be a shopping wall connected to the arena. It going to be the place to go in NYC, watch.

The ugliest, darkest arena I've ever been too.

Looks like Cavs home games of last year, but these are the 2 time defending eastern champs we are talking about here. If Benard King is for it, I am for it.
I thinks its a horrible move....the nets should stay in NJ.....New York is full of Knicks fans and always will be. No matter what happens the Nets will most likely lose Kenyon Martin beacause of contract dispute....and if they move they'll lose Kidd.....than the nets will have nobody...im sure the first year fans will show up and it will seem like a good move....but when they start to play bad nobody will show and the nets will simply become the clippers of new york....they should just stay in jersey!
