LOL I predicted this place would be a warzone yesterday....all I have to say is that it was pretty good called game last night, of course there were some bad calls (both ways), but that happens......Kobe didn't go to the FT Line as much as Wade, because (Like XSV said) he settled for the outside shot more.

Kobe is playing with a groin injury so he's been reluctant to attack the rim and risk aggravating it. However, watching Luke Walton get hammered without a whistle, probably factored in to Kobe not driving more and just beating Miami with his jumper.

yeah I understand what you're saying, all I was trying to say (for whatever the reason) Kobe didn't take it to the rack as much as Wade......

That's no excuse not to attack the rim. For example, Chris Bosh was getting hacked against Dallas and got no calls, but instead of staying on the perimeter, he kept attacking the rim and the refs eventually gave him a couple of calls. All I'm saying is, if you complain about officiating and settle for jumpers, guess what, your not going to get to the line. If you keep attacking, the refs will make the calls.

Kobe doesn't need to get to the line to win games. I'm not complaining about Kobe, I'm more upset about the no-calls against Walton.

Fair enough. But still, Luke Walton not getting calls made Kobe settle for jumpshots? I find that hard to believe.

It factors in the decision making process. You have to adjust to how the game is being officiated.

It's a long season, and everybody is going to be banged up. It's kind of annoying that everytime we see Wade and Kobe matchup, it's always something with Kobe. First the "chest cold" and now the groin. It's hard to not question whether these are ready excuses in case he loses the game. Take a page out of RJ's book. The guy is playing on two gimpy ankles that need surgery, and you wouldn't know unless you have watched him the last few years and can see that his shot and mobility are greatly suffering. The guy just doesn't like to talk about his injuries.

Kobe suffered it a few games ago, and left the Houston game early after injurying it. Have you ever injured your groin?

Well, Kobe manned up to D. Wade, and stopped him in the 4th and OT. Kobe also had a terrific game so I don't really see the problem [IMG]

I pulled my groin once. Hurt like something fierce but I still played. Pickup basketball mind you, not the smartest thing to do, but whatever.

You realize Kobe often does the same thing?

Yes. I'm not criticizing a particular player. I hate the whole idea of biased officials and superstars thinking they deserve calls.

So, you're not criticizing a particular player? It's just that Wades whining annoys you? Right.

The majority of this thread is about Dwyane Wade's calls so I mentioned him but I hate when ANY superstar thinks they deserve calls and when they whine when they don't get them. Whether it's Kobe Bryant or Dwyane Wade, it bugs me. Just like it did when the Lakers played the Magic a few nights ago.

Well thats great, and I 100% agree with you. It just bugs me when people single Wade, or any other player out. If you're going to make fun of Wade, you'll have to make fun of countless other players without looking like a tool. [IMG]

I'm not really here to start anything, but if you think Kobe gets away with half the amount of fouls as Wade, you are out of your mind

Okay, that was probably the worst exaggeration I've ever seen in my life. If he got half the bad calls his way then he's probably be on the Larry Hughes or possibly even Ricky Davis level of getting calls his way, which would be one of the most laughable things I've ever heard in my life.

It was obviously sarcasm, but it's the internet so you probably misunderstood. Anyways, no. Kobe doesn't get nearly as many calls his way as Dwyane Wade. Ask anyone who has watched the majority of Laker games in the past couple of seasons. Rarely does Wade ever get a no-call on a legitimate foul, the same can't be said for Kobe since some refs now have a mutual hatred for him after the rape trial

Anyways, I'm not targeting this at you. Just putting it there

Fair enough. I was never arguing with the fact that Wade gets the most stupid calls his way. And it's probably true what you said about Kobe, but he does get his fair share of superstar calls.
