What a game by the big 3 led by big Z!!! 3 20 point games in one match! Been awhile since that has happened! We are back on a roll!!! Can we get that elusive 4 game win streak!
Nice win for the Cavs tonight. I would have like to have seen them get up on the Bucks and jump on them, but we kept letting them hang around. If KVH and Redd weren't so cold, we could have easily dropped this one. We have a couple of very winnable road games coming up that we need to get. We need to get over the 3 win hump and get a prolonged streak going. Was it just me or did the Cavs give up a huge number of 3 point plays tonight on baskets they had no business attempting to break up? They also bailed the Bucks out a number of times on plays where Bucks players were out of control and about to throw up a very low percentage shot, and someone would reach in or bump them. If we would've lost the game tonight, it would have been because of all the stupid fouls.
The big three were huge tonight. It's great to see the Cavaliers finally living up to their potential. The core of LeBron, Z, and Boozer were there from day 1. However, they had to learn a new system, acquire the right mix of role players, and Boozer and Z were programed to not play any defense under Lucas. Now that the pieces have settled into place, the big three can now play with the confidence, that if they do their thing, the Cavaliers have a great chance to win when they do. How great is that?
Z was huge tonight, Karma. You better scoot over and make room on the Z wagon, because here I come!!! :: plop ::
Great game tonight Cavs, you guys have a great young team, see you in the playoffs (well and later this year)
Thanks for the compliments, gmanspack. Was a great game, although I might not have thought so had we lost
I still can't get over this "playoff" talk. What on earth has Paxson put in the water at the Gund? LeBron in the playoffs? Carmelo too? Folks, the future has arrived.
LeBron going off again tonight with almost a trip-dub. Im actally pretty speechless on how we are playing as of late. Go Cavs!
Cavs have got the Hawks and Raps coming up on the road. Time to take care of business. No more losses like the one against the Bulls. We have to beat all the bad teams and take our fair share against the good teams and maybe take one or two against the very good teams. This was a big weekend, but we can't afford to take it for granted that we will make the playoffs. However, I can't lie that I'm unbelievably excited at the prospects of us getting a berth. First time since the Shawn Kemp days...
Yeah the Cavs move into a seventh spot 3 tiers with Celtics and Heat... at least for now. Great game, I thought they'd be fatiqued coming in after the day before's game against Hornets. But, they jumped on the Bucks early in teh first quarter and I guess that was a smart plan by Silas, just to bring some energy early in the game. I'd say the Cavs gotta keep on their recent hot pace and if they can keep up I can see them move up to as high as the 5th spot... but that would be awfully tough. It's better for them to have a mindset and approach every game one game at a time so the pressure is less for them... but anyway keep going Cavs!
In the past 8 games (we are 6-2) Z is averaging 20.1 PPG, 8.3 RPG, 3.5 BPG while shooting a very solid 48% (61-125) from the floor. Z has really been playing some good ball recently and is leading us to wins with his outstanding post play.
Z is the f'n man. No one can stop him from scoring under the low post. It's about time he starts to throw things down hard instead of settling for little mini jumpers. We are starting to see the Z of old, and I love every moment of it. Bring back the ZEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE chants!
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Skywzrd:</div><div class="quote_post">Z was huge tonight, Karma. You better scoot over and make room on the Z wagon, because here I come!!! :: plop ::</div> HHHMMMM, not used to everyone propping my main man!!! This is what I am getting at! Do we really need that second "star" that is apparently so neccessary??? We just need a good solid shooter at the 3 (SJax) and we have the mix we need! Nailon is solid off the bench for us! Bobcats may take him!
Cavs don't have enough time left to catch either the Hornets or the Bucks. 6th place is high as we're going to possibly get. Z, Booz, Mcinnis, and Lebron are all playing extremely well and provide us with several different scoring options. If Williams can stay out of his funk and Nailon can keep being productive off the bench, I think the Cavs can keep up this hot streak that started right before the all star break.
McInnis is definatley the quiet achiever in our bunch. A little like Boozer was, but now everyone expects that double double from him! He is distributing the ball better than any of us thought! To think he was playing more 2 guard than point in Portland!
I was watching this game at a bar jumping up and down, waiving my fists in the air, lol. It has been a joy to watch this team grow up so fast. Thank you all.
Sorry KJ, this thread got to few posts to be a preview/recap, right? We got to take it back at normal level again guys, we had 11 sites at 3 in a row or something, and then we got 2 sites at this one? Come on guys, post!
