I'm fine with that. I'm not really thrilled with Monroe anyway, but I do think we need to do a consolidation trade.

I think its inevitable. The only Q is when is the optimum time to get the best return.

I'd rather test the waters with Blake Griffin.

I hope it's obvious that I posted that to take your side. It was a parody of what homers say.

We'd only have to send out $14M. Davis and Aminu would be enough. That's an awful trade though.

    That's a huge downgrade. That'd be awful.

I think we're more likely to trade Plumlee or Davis for a future 1st. (Preferably Plumlee, as he'll get a big contract next year and it'd help clear up our C logjam).

A 1st is easier to throw into a consolation trade because picks have value to every team, where every team may not want to pay or have Plumlee.

Basically it'd set us up better for when a consolidation trade actually presents itself and it would open up minutes as well.

Heres teams that could use a C off the bench:

    Chicago: (Plumlee over Felicio)
    New York: (Plumlee over Hernangomez)
    LA Clippers: (Plumlee over Speights)
    Toronto: (Plumlee over Poeltl)
Charlotte: (They like White Big Men)
Atlanta: (Plumlee over Splitter, fits their system well)
San Antonio: (Don't want to help them. They need a backup C though)
    Golden State: (See above)
New Orleans: (Would be a really good fit next to Davis. They need a future starting C)

We could get a 1st from at least a couple of those teams. We might be able to get more if theirs more suitors. That's a lot more likely than trading away depth for a bum like Greg Monroe.

Not saying it would be good. Saying it's the only way we could match right now.
