Good defense is a team skill. It takes everyone being on the same page. You'll notice a lot of talk about the Spurs defense, more so than Parker or Ginobli's defense.

BGD said Wes was a top 10 SG, the Mags agreed and challenged me to name 10 that are better. I don't know if all the guys I listed are better, but I think Wes is "good" but not really a franchise changer. You plug him in and feel like SG isn't a weakness but he won't change the fortunes of a team. There are 59 players in the nba right now making 8 digits. So that's an average of 2 per team. Are the Blazers going to pay their whole starting lineup 8 digits?

Because he said it as a joke. If you've been paying attention to him, he mocks McCollum and Matthews. He would rather have Vince Carter or Melo. He's a superstar chaser. Fact is, both those players never could lead their team to anything too successful. Mathews, on the other hand, is a team player. A role player that doesn't require "shots" to be effective.
BGD was actually trying to be witty. He doesn't believe Wes is one. It is just his mantra he throws out cus most others do believe Wes is (which has more to do about the NBA SG talent currently then Wes)

Robinson is healthy and yet he has barely played this pre-season. Going into the fourth quarter in another blowout and he has yet to step on the court.
He finally enters this blowout with 3 min. left. He came in around the same time in the 40 pt. blowout of Macabi.
I made a comment last night that I felt he took a step back. He doesnt seem to be in the shape this year as he was last season so far. This shows within his game speed and alertness on the court.That's the antithesis on how I feel about Meyers so far. Meyers game speed is ahead of Thomas's which is why I think he is ahead of him off the bench. Meyers look better and improved.
I am impressed with how fast Leonard can run the length of a court. Guy is maybe the fastest 7 footer around
