Chicago Bulls guard Michael Carter-Williams was sent back to Chicago on Wednesday to have an MRI and CT scan on his injured left wrist. "Michael, we sent him home [Wednesday] just to get evaluated by our hand specialist," Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg said after Thursday's practice. "He's had some issues with his wrist that he fell on. I have not heard the results on that yet. We should have an update on him [Friday]." Carter-Williams has been out since injuring his wrist and sustaining a bone bruise in his left knee during an Oct. 31 win over the Brooklyn Nets. Bulls All-Star swingman Jimmy Butler did not practice Thursday to rest, but is expected to play Friday night against the Philadelphia 76ers. "I'm fine," Butler said. "Everybody's body feels a little bit different. But the mental aspect -- I'm paying attention to everything, everybody is. It's Thanksgiving, so I'm giving thanks for a day." Butler, who is averaging 35.5 minutes a game this season, admitted that it's necessary to take a day off here and there over the course of a season. "I don't want to have to do it, but you really do got to take care of your body," Butler said. "So, today's a huge recovery day for me. That being on the road with all the travel, I got to take care of my body. So, hopefully get some [cryotherapy] in when I can, ice, massage, anything I can do to be ready to go." - See more at: http://www.espn.com/blog/chicago/bu...illiams-sent-back-to-chicago-for-mri-on-wrist
