And let me add two more data points for the Paxson is weird thing: -- the way the organization handled Luol Deng's spinal tap. --Paxson accosting Jeff Vangundy before he broadcasted a game this season. For me, there is plenty evidence to reach the conclusion that Paxson should not be let anywhere near this franchise. As to Forman, we actually don't know a ton about his role in these fiascos.
How many sources for "dysfunctional organization" do you need? http://www.foxsports.com/nba/story/...alvin-gentry-as-successor-to-thibodeau-051215 Another name hits the wire today, however. Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders reports that Alvin Gentry, a top assistant of Steve Kerr's with the Golden State Warriors, and former lead man with Steve Nash's Phoenix Suns, has joined Hoiberg atop the Bulls' list. "Sources peg Warriors assistant Alvin Gentry as a serious front runner," Kyler writes. Some quick speculation suggests Gentry may have an unfavorable whisper in his ear, belonging to fellow top Warriors assistant Ron Adams. Adams was an assistant under Thibodeau and a long-time friend of the Bulls' current coach, and his exit from Chicago was not pretty. Would his tales of dysfunction discourage Gentry from taking the job?
Thibs won't have trouble getting a job. Hopefully for an organization that isn't dysfunctional. http://abc7chicago.com/sports/bulls-aim-for-title-amid-trust-issues/700256/ Fans of the Chairman's Wallet won't like this brilliant article.
Going into the season, the Cavs were favored to beat the Bulls in the playoffs, right? So if we lose, it's not unexpected at all. Considering the Cavs went and got Love and Mozgov and Perkins and JR Smith and Shumpert to bolster their chances, it's not at all a surprise if we lose. We could have addressed our needs at the wing positions. Like why we need to start DunVP and play Kirk heavy minutes. It's hard to second guess Thibs playing Kirk when the alternative (Snell) hasn't played any better.
In tight playoff series, oftentimes it comes down to do your top players make plays better / over the other teams top players. Historically, Lebron gets the better of DRose when the stakes are highest. Another case in point.... There is still ball to be played, but if we lose, these Bulls, like the Mark Price Cavs and the Ewing Knicks are a casualty of not being able to get past the best player in the league.
