Guh... I just got home from work. Pacers are stealing it at the end. 105-102. 42 seconds left.

That's what happens when you don't play defense.

Ben ties it up with a beautiful J.

Murphy misses a wide open shot.

Ben Gordon with the clutch shot. Have to go to him for the game tying shot or winner next play.

FS Indiana shows Tyrus laughing and giving TJ Ford a five and Gordon and Miller walk off the court scowling. Not the image I wanted to end with.

Have to blame Vinny for this loss. It can only be the coach to blame when the defense is this big of a mess.

Gordon got a good look at it. He pushed off of Granger with his left hand. Not sure why it came up so short. Must have been his wrist giving up.

Thomas would have had the putback if Miller didn't bang into him.

I really wish they'd get blown out instead of these last play losses. It drives me nuts. Great efforts from everybody and they come up short to TJ Ford of all people. I'm glad I didn't see Tyrus slapping five with him.

Wasn't a good look at all. He was flailing away and threw up a prayer to get that over Granger's hand.

Yeah, it wasn't a good look at all.

Should of gone for the tie with a 15 footer or gone to the hoop with a drive and maybe get contact. That was a bad loss.

After bad defense collapses all year and these same bad defense problems not getting fixed-then the coach obviously isn't stressing at practice that they are making mistakes that need to be fixed. Then again why should I be shocked, because when Ben Gordon gets to start over Kirk Hinrich on a NBA team then a message of shooting takes precedent over defense is crystal clear.

Another thing I didn't like about last night's game.

On the NBA League Pass Feed, Ben Gordon made the tough shot to tie the game at 105. On the League Pass feed they stayed with the CSN raw feed through what should have been a commercial. Stacey and Neil didn't take off their headsets, so you could still hear them talking. Stacey King asked Neil Funk if he liked that last shot. Funk said, "Nah, nah, nah." (Not like nah, nah, nah, nah, nah nah, hey, hey, nah, nah, nah) but in the sense of (no, no, no).

That would make for a highly professional proctologist I guess.

Neil and Stacey aren't fans of Ben Gordon. They rip him a lot, but mostly justified IMO. In fact, about four or five games ago the two of them went out of their way to effusively praise BG about his consistent scoring, which was uncharacteristic of them even while he was playing well. BG then proceeded to turn the ball over for a fastbreak, force a shot, and get beat for a layup in the span of a minute and a half. But it sounded like Neil and Stacey had been given an edict from management to lighten up on BG. They've since gone back to calling BG out.

Neil Funk continuously bashed Gordon during his 37 point game against the Raptors. He bashed him for that shot where he had tons of space with ~18 seconds left, when it was a great shot take. (The only bad part was he didn't take it). Bulls were losing, so they wanted a quick shot so they could get another chance (which they ended up getting, and Gordon ended up tying it to bring it into overtime).

And it's noy Neil and Stacey. Stacey King praises Gordon a ton, and calls out Gordon when he plays bad, with obviously more praise than calling out, because Gordon plays good more often than not. It's just Neil Funk, who is bashing Gordon relentlessly for no reason.

King was trying to illicit praise from Funk in regards to Gordon's shot there. Perhaps King knows that Funk has some deep hate, and that is why he was trying to get Funk to admit that the Gordon shot was good.

Why Funk hates Gordon? Who knows. Maybe Gordon refused to make him a peanut butter and jelly sandwich before a game.

If I were ever gonna shoot someone in the face, it might be Neil Funk.

King calls out BG a lot more than Funk. And then he telestrates it. Neither of them are fans. And taking that shot at 18 seconds was bad. As Stacey would put it, "They could get that shot anytime they wanted it."
