Blair wants a multi deal like Robinson. Bulls wont do that.

I'm kinda' assuming Blair gets more than the minimum too.

What would you guys think about the Bulls making an offer to Jason Collins?

Can we find more guys that can't shoot, can't defend, can't score, and can't rebound?

I mean we are lucky Camby chose somewhere else, too. Dodged that bullet.

I get it. Why screw around with signing players who you know can't play when you can probably coach up a player like Malcolm Thomas? He could be playing at a passable level by the end of the season. The counter argument is that the Bulls will have a lot of inexperienced play in its second lineup with Teague and the near certainty that Hinrich will miss time. Lineups with more than one rookie rarely fair well and Malcolm Thomas would make it three rookies (Teague, Thomas, Snell).

Yeah, it seems pretty clear that our choices have boiled down to guys that are big and have no game, or guys that have game but are not big.

I'm inclined to go with the guys that have game. They're defensive mismatches against some teams, but if we DO have to end up playing our 13th man, I'd prefer it be for a guy that's going to sentence the team to a loss if they have to play more than 20 minutes.

Looking at the younger guys on the list, you wonder which ones are basketcases. Wilcox, Aldrich and Armstrong seem to be in this position season after season. I also would have thought that Sims would have been able to land a roster spot.

    How about aldrich?

    http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/a/aldrico01.html

His career PER is greater than Hinrich's PER the past several seasons. He makes his FTs for the most part. 2.4 blocks/36 for his career.

Surely Thibs can yell and scream at him from the sidelines to get him to stand there and be big, like he did for Asik.
