I like winnerland, but not at the expense of championshipland. The bulls have maybe two building blocks in Rose and Deng if he has really turned a corner now. Hinrich, BG and Gooden could be pieces, but I don't think they are building blocks. I'd much rather take the lumps now and see if Thabo, TT, and Noah can grow into something. Thabo looked good last year and is stuck behind Hughes and BG, two guys who will pout if they aren't getting big minutes/starting. TT continues to show tantalizing flashes, and Noah needs to get focused. This is still a development year, IMHO, so you don't need to tighten the rotation until March and April.
I don't really see Deng as any different than Gooden, BG or Hinrich. There's a good 30 or 40 players out there I'd trade Deng for without giving it a second's thought. And if there's that many, it means he's a good player, sure, but not the sort of guy you consider really integral to your team
