Because nobody else is commenting on other threads and so many people whine about people making new threads that there isn't as much turnover on the front page as there could be otherwise.

Newsflash: All the whining and complaining about "this kind of post" or "that kind of post" makes for a more static front page.

If we are interesting enough for people to want to talk with us (and if we don't run them off by whining about how they post) there might be more new and possibly more interesting content on the front page...

Or people could stop randomly bumping zombie threads so that they never appeared at the top...

    IDK?
Seems like the only people that have problems with the old threads are people who said things that they don’t want repeated?
It’s called accountability and it brings a small bit of reality to the internet. I for one don’t mind them at all.

    Who are you talking to?

How does 5 post thread about Antonio Daniels being bumped bring "reality" and "accountability" to the forum? It seems like you're trying hard to find an angle on people that isnt there.

Or they could keep doing it and it still won't matter...

So if they keep doing it constantly they'll still never appear on the front page of the forum?

Maybe its a settings thing, but the only date thats shown for me is the date (time) of the last post.

There is no indication of when the thread originated before going into it.

Sorry, that's what I meant. But as soon as you click it the date is right there. It should be pretty easy to ignore after that. But certainly the Zombie tags should solve this problem now.

    I didn’t tag anyone? I didn’t quote anyone?
I was commenting on a thread in which I have been reading.
If a thread about Antonio Daniels has a quote that might be unrealistic then bringing it back might put a realistic view to it in the present.
If you can’t handle that then don’t read the thread. Simple!

    1) We don't need your stinking self empowering rules.

Enforcement of rules are at the discretion of the staff, as it should be.

    2) Many serious BB fans spend time reading old threads. They can often be the best source of info such as researching a player for a potential trade.

    3) How anyone can complain/bitch about old threads bumping up, yet not say a word about all of the new threads that are hijacked is beyond common sense. (Which is no longer common)

Hijacking is so common, I read very few of the new threads anymore. If a topic interests me, I use the search tool and bring up all of the posts that have the key topic or player I'm interested in. Then I learn something, maybe.

Well. With all the seriousness about this, you would think a bumped thread means the sky is falling!!!!

This is what cracks me up around here.

People bitch about bumping old threads. People bitch about creating new threads when there was an old thread(but dont dare bump it)

I mean.. How the hell do you win around here? LMAO!

It's the off season. Nothing wrong with having a little fun.

And about once a week @Mediocre Man says I'm the winner so it strokes my ego.

How come no one has created a thread to wish Dame a Happy Birthday? Seems thread worthy to me.
