But, it only came in yellow, green and white (our school colors). They raised a ton of money, and sold em for 3 bucks each.

Nah, I don't think so. How about this: would anyone of you ever concider buying an FM-transmitter, that could convert whatever you are playing with your MP3-player or iPod to radio waves, so that you can play it in a radio, perhaps in your car or something? Would cost around $20 to buy or somethin...

$20 is a good price, but keep in mind who your market is. If you're selling to high school kids a lot of them don't drive and I'm not sure they have $20 to spend on this type of gadget.
Yeah, marketing for this kind of product will be a challenge. Probably won't help much that it might be illegal as well (although the big electronics stores sell them too).
The problem with those transmitters is that for an extra 20 bucks you can just buy a low end deck that sounds way better.
