Its seems that everytime he starts to get a feel for the game and starts to go wild an injury happens. Poor fella. The team needs to step up without him.

The thing that sucks most about it is that the injury is never his fault. He can't control or change Kobe crashing into his leg or coming down on Lamar's foot. It isn't like he is injury prone, both of these accidents have been freak injuries.

simply bad luck... when he is healthy again we should trade him for Dwight or Bosh LOL Kidding!

i watched the interview of Bynum, he said that its definitely different from last year... oh well, we just have to get over that Celtic and Cavalier hump without him.

i think we can win the Boston game, but LBJ and the Cavs are another thing... especially with Z back and that Bynum was a major factor in preventing LBJ from driving to the hoop.

Doctors in Memphis told Pau that Bynum's injury didn't look serious. Thank god.

He took an MRI today, we should know the results tomorrow since the doctors are watching the Superbowl today.

Well, last night he said that there wasn't any pop or anything and that he was able to at least put some pressure on it, unlike last year. I'm being optimistic here, hoping that he's back after All Star break.

    Getting Inside

The Lakers are hoping deja vu didn’t strike them and up-and-coming center Andrew Bynum, who suffered another January knee injury Saturday night. Bynum, who hurt his left knee on Jan. 13, 2008, against Memphis and never returned despite the Lakers advancing to the NBA Finals, hurt his right knee against Memphis this time when teammate Kobe Bryant fell into him.

The Lakers were hopeful after the game that Bynum might not have suffered another serious injury that would cost him the entire season. He was diagnosed with a sprain and was scheduled to undergo an MRI exam Sunday when the team got to New York.

“I didn’t hear any pop,” Bynum said.

Bynum also said he could put some weight on his right leg, whereas he couldn’t put any weight on his left leg last year. Bynum had been hot going into the game Saturday night, putting together double-doubles in his last five games.

He was averaging 14.2 points and 8.4 rebounds entering the game Saturday night. He was hurt with 6:55 left in the first quarter after Bryant lost his balance on a layup attempt. Bynum was looking for the offensive rebound and didn’t see Bryant coming.

Caron1 over @ LG (who in the past has been very accurate on his reports) is saying it is a slight tear, not a complete tear. That is great news.

I wish the media could interview him and get an update from him directly.

Farmar was back in 5 weeks, right? Did he tear his MCL or his meniscus? I don't remember.
