Byron Marshall: Powerful but no breakaway speed

    He also came in often with the second and third string OL and was the ball carrier on vanilla plays.

    If you watch his highlights, he's got great vision and patience. Remember, this was a FR. One more year in the system. A few pounds heavier. Running with the 1's. He'll be a great Duck!

    When I watch vids of Barner he made a lot of yards on quick cut back moves as well as raw speed. I like Marshall, but he can't do those cuts and has decent speed. I'll be interested in seeing his yards per carry and stack it up to Barner and James as a good comparison.

    Barner was the featured back and primary weapon last year. This year it truly will be a well balanced attack. Stop our short yardage with Marshall. Out jump us with Stanford, out physical us with Colt and Huff, out speed us with DAT. At the same time keep a key eye on our QB who can burn ya for 50 yard pick ups if all those options are by the grace of GOD covered! Marshall wont have to be as spectacular as punishing and short yardage effective, which is exactly what he is great at.
