Lol. CJ now has the best mid range game in the league.

Oh holy hell if we traded CJ for Wilson Chandler!! And I think I was in favor of that. Yikes.

The thread is as uneven as McCollum's development was up and down. People forget now, but for the first couple of years, he had problems. (He still does, but much more subtle ones.)

You mean generally young players coming out of college have problems being consistent in the NBA?
What? Does this mean we could apply the same logic to the 23 year old Center Portland currently has on the roster?

That's nice and all, and this is in no way a dig at CJ, but is it a good thing to be the best at something that the NVA vies as the worst % shot?

Of course it's a good thing. It's not like nobody shoots any midrange shots anymore. He also happens to be very good at driving to the hoops as well as nailing 3 point shots.

Considered the worst % shot in the NBA, so that can also mean it is the least defended shot because other teams concede it, which provides more open looks, which can skew the true percentages.

I'm fine with him taking the worst % shot in the NBA because all too often he is wide open when he does it.

And just like we do, we FORCE teams to shoot that shot.

He was an old player coming from 4 years in college, and in the middle of his 2nd NBA season. This thread started Jan. 10, 2015, after he had played 61 games (after missing 58) and was finally getting plenty of consecutive games to show that he was no Lillard. His Jan. 10 box score, as usual, consisted of a row of zeroes.

Matthews played his last Blazer game March 5. This thread died for 2 months (between posts #220 and 221) until McCollum finally emerged at the start of April. Suddenly the thread exploded in people claiming to have been sure all along. So...

The thread is as uneven as McCollum's development was up and down. People forget now, but for the first couple of years, he had problems.
