    1. He's here.
    2. We drafted him.
    3. We've seen him in practice.
    4. We need his skill set.
    5. Mo Williams.

    Alternatively:
    6. Maybe he's not 'so valuable' to us, either? :dunno:

I would like to see C.J. take all of Lillard's 2-guard minutes when Mo's in the game. I'm not so much about playing Mo less minutes, unless he has a terrible game, but I'm sure it could help Lillard, which might also bring about more concentrated play when Lillard is playing.

You do understand that the Blazers want to win now and CJ hasn't played a game in the NBA yet?

Maybe for a rebuilding team you would be right but the Blazers are far from a rebuilding team. Last time I checked teams that are in the conversation of going as far as the WCF\Finals don't make time for rookies over proven veteran players.

wow, just wow. Our "vet" reserves have proven they can't play. Why the hell do people want reserves that have proven they can't play over an unknown but obvious talent is beyond me.

Mo makes many horrific plays, and freezes out better shooting teammates, or delivers the ball way too late, even when they are on a hot streak. I'd rather have the Wizard Mentor coming off the bench. Hurry CJ. You are our only hope.

Yes, CJ is our savior! That is until the Blazers get a new Rookie. I'm sure Stotts and crew see it this way also.

He'll have to shake off the rust but in training camp he was playing so well that he was a threat to take the starting SG spot from Wes.

I'm starting to agree. He pisses me off with his lazy passes and tunnel vision. But, when he's on fire he can hit. You gotta take the good with the bad. I'd like to see what McCollum take quite a bit of his minutes.

Probably should have added a disclaimer  -- Rice said it during the opening night game.

Yeah, but that was only forum conjecture. Defense alone will keep him on the bench. If this team has a "stopper" it's Wesley.

I have seen McCollum only in Summer League, when he was a huge disappointment because his shooting couldn't hit a barn wall. But you guys must be right.

The mid-1st round pick already knows NBA rules like a 10-year vet. He learned the big time at LeHigh. The minutes of Mo, Lillard, and Matthews should be handed to the rookie. Right after we annoint him the Son of God.

He is a 'hope'. I've never said he was a sure thing. I once had hope for Mo Williams, too.

Or the very least take the ball out of his hands faster.

Mo Williams - .401 FG% The thing is, he isn't on fire very often and isn't good enough on defense nor does he keep the offense running well enough to justify the poor shooting. He is one of the top assist guys in the league off the bench but that comes after stalling the offense, dribbling for 16-20 seconds of the shot clock, then going one-on-one to get his own shot and dumping off to a teammate at the last second for a hurried shot.

That is why is seems Dorell is shooting only 3's against the shot-clock so often. That is not to excuse Wright's one-dimensionedness but more to balance out Mo's assist numbers. Iverson averaged a lot of assists as well but was never what you would call an offensive facilitator.
