Millsap would be good next year but after that his contract is just going to look worse and worse until we are paying him 30+ million at the age of 36.
How does that constitute recruiting? He could have easily thought that opting out was a dumb move & 'shocking' at his age.
He definitely didn't think it's shocking. Should be easy for him to find more than 21M and for more than one year. He is an All Star player. Opting out now was the best choice he could make. CJ should be smart enough to know this.
"Our players never do anything to try and get free agents here! Rabble... rabble... rabble!" ... ... "Our players are trying to get free agents here but don't know how the salary cap works! Rabble... rabble... rabble!"
Good for CJ....and for the millionth time....Paul Allen isn't worried about the money!!!!!!!!!!! ....CJ probably knows this.
"SlyPokerDog keeps mocking people with his rabble... rabble... rabble! He's an asshole... asshole... asshole!"
CJ is bright....he's networking and not missing an opportunity to make connections throughout the league...he's interviewed some big time NBA names already. It's one of the things I love about the kid...he sees the big picture. Between him and Dame, they have put the current Blazers on the map again.
Was your "eight years ago" a direct reference to Pritchard's "toxic offer" to Millsap? I assume so. It really is a shame that Utah matched, though a lot of this community was very negative on the offer, as I recall.
