<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AMS_ice:</div><div class="quote_post">Webber is back up to Iverson in Philly. He won't mind playing back up to Kobe. I think Webber wants to win at this point. He's been in the spotlight but wasn't able to deliver big, ultimately he just wants to win (just ask Karl Malone).</div> By backup I thought you meant coming off the bench. Anyways, either way, Webber will not be a great fit for our team. Like I said, he takes away touches, plays horrible defense, and you can't rely on him health wise. We are better off now than we would be with Webber

With regards to touches, sure another slice muct be made for Webber, but not more than what it is now. Kobe takes the bulk of the shots, and Odom, He's an unselfish player, he looks to pass first, and he doesn't need many looks to score. I think the Lakers would take him, of course minus the big contract (hypothetical).
Webber puts up good numbers and can pass the ball. The problem is his contract and he's old. The Lakers could use him though as he's a solid player. PG-Smush SG-Kobe SF-Lamar PF-Webber C-Kwame Sixth Man-Vladimir I don't know exactly who they will be able to trade for him but it doesn't look like a bad idea. Weren't the Lakers rumored to get Kevin Garnett???
Who isn't rumoured to get KG? For that matter, he's not going anywhere as it is. But that's a different topic. With CWebb, he'd be a horrible fit. He's not good on defense anymore. He's not very good on offense anymore due to his inconsistencies. He relies a lot on his inconsistent jumper now because of his knees. He may be a good passer, but so is Odom. We have him for our passer out of the post, so I don't see a need for CWebb. Beyond that, he's got a terrible contract and we'd have to trade too much away to get him.
