Same, I hope they get in our bracket. My sister is an Iowa alum, so beyond just seeing them play, we'd all go to see her for sure.

The Olympics and the WNBA are two separate things....

Some commentators disagree with the decision to leave Caitlin Clark off Olympic team, saying she is biggest name in women's basketball. I agree with the other position. Spot on Olympic team has gone to veterans with a track record in WNBA. Exceptions haven't worked well. Rebecca Lobo put women's college basketball on the map. On Olympic team she got loads of attention but minimal playing time. And that distraction was nothing compared with the spotlight Clark faces. Another year rookie Brianna Stewart was included, which left off Candace Parker, who should have been included.

Second point. WNBA season starts almost immediately after college season. I think a week break away from constant media glare would benefit Clark physically and mentally. I think she will play better for it.

While some fans talked of boycott and even rooting against US team, Clark herself has behaved with grace. She congratulated players on the Olympic team and expressed hope she will be there in future. She will.

Absolutely. She's doing exactly what she should. She'll get her chance.

it's not just some, it's EVERYONE
boycott !! start a picket line !! She doesn't have to be a starter, she just needs to be there. Give Clarke a few reps off the bench. Team USA is throwing away a goldmine. This is the BIG Olympics, the 4 year purge. It's in Paris France !! Everyone is going to be there. The last Olympics was TV only because of the Covid pandemic.

it's not too late to erase the snub. Get Caitlin Clarke on the alternate list, then mildly and accidently Tonya Harding one of the other ladies.

First it was everyone else being mean to Caitlin Clark, then it was her teammates not sticking up for her. And the refs were letting everyone bully her...

Then it was team USA jobbing her.

Now her coach isn't good enough and they need to get her a new coach because she played limited minutes in the last game (she had 4 fouls in the middle of the 3rd quarter).

People need to knock it off. She's doing fine. We don't need to be blaming anybody else for anything.

Coach is a reasonable point considering team got number one pick two consecutive years and hasn't improved.

She actually had a horrible game last game, but no one talked about her performance, meaning no one who has these asinine points about her are watching the games.

Otherwise known as people who I don't listen to.

Yep. Las Vegas got the #1 pick 3 years in a row, and fired coaches after the 2nd and 3rd time.

Caitlin or Arike Ogunbowale has a good chance of being added since Chelsea Gray has yet to play this season and already has a Gold Medal from the 2021 Games. Clark being added as an alternate would benefit her as I am sure if she was selected in the first go around a lot of the talk would be she was not yet deserving and was only added for $ reasons versus her play.

    Didn't she just come off of a stretch of 7, 10, 30, 3 and 11 points?

On 19-55 from the floor (35%) including 13-40 (32.5%) numbers, averaging 5 turnovers a game?

I'd say shooting 35% from the floor averaging 12 points isn't good enough for Team USA.

there is no way, and I know you're kidding, that she'd put up even remotely close to Scoots #'s in the NBA.

Ha. Scoot would be scoring 50 per game and getting 15 rebounds per game in the WNBA.
