So everyone who has ever went to college and got an education is narrow-minded? Interesting. It's usually viewed the opposite way, is it not?
KC has improved from game 1 to where he is now. At the very least he doesn't talk as fast. Hurd... at least I've developed the ability to tune his "Basketball analysis out". Though I'm still stuck on the Grizz game when KC said. "Damian sets his tootsies..."
To me, this is why ESPN basketball is boring to watch. Don't kid yourself. It's not about diversity. It's about market quotas and appealing to demographics to get money. Do enough of this and everything is bland and nothing fits. Like, seriously, do you really think these demographics hang out in their spare time? Most likely not. There's no chemistry there. Now, contrast this with TNT where most of these guys are black former NBA players who are all around the same age. Meanwhile, you have your straight man moderator type white guy in Ernie. When you watch them, it's like hanging out with "the guys" for a beer. It's fun. They all get along. There's chemistry. And they can talk about a myriad of social issues in an honest and meaningful way, even if the viewer or they all don't agree with one another. That's real diversity right there and not the politicized/corporatized BS.
Reading the GT. did this asshole actually call us the Sonics? And no apology or my bad afterward? That's just bad fucking karma. Get rid of him. I was such a huge KC supporter. Man was i wrong
I missed it the first time. I had to re-suffer through the last couple minutes of the game to see if Calabro really called us the Sonics. And he did, indeed: "Turnovers have been the bane of the Sonics- err the Blazers here tonight. It has been the absolute toughest part of watching this ball game..." No, he didn't apologize, but everyone makes mistakes sometimes. You can't fault the guy, especially since he was in the presence of Mr. Sonic himself.
Couldn't believe he did that but maybe Nate being in the house had some influence. To be honest, I don't think anyone would give a rats patootie if this team was playing better and not vomiting in the 3rd or 4th quarter of practically every game of late. As it is, now just pouring salt in the wound.
I don't think he is garbage, but man I agree with you that this was a huge mistake I somewhat disagree. He HAS to be aware of the fans' concerns about Paul moving this team to Seattle and he knows his history with the Sonics. If there is one thing he absolutely can't do, its refer to us as the Sonics. On a season with such preseason hype quickly turning to a season of mediocrity, the fans are already somewhat disappointment and for him to do that, could just be the icing on the cake for us to just turn the channel. I don't think it's the end all, and i'm not advocating he has to go like Yayuza, but it's a slip of the tongue that just can't happen again. Under any circumstances or I would think he would be very close to out the door.
Still havent really cared to watch games on tv tbh. I cant stand these guys. They dont belong to us. Heard a rumor hurd will be canned at some point (between now and the end of the season)
I would love that, but it is pretty obvious the blazers wanted to move a different direction than rice so i dont see that happening. Barrett got the real shaft in all this. I honestly dont see what all the Calabro love is about. I dont find him better than barrett at all.
