I'm trying not to judge Camby right now. I think we were gonna make the playoffs with or without him. What I'm hoping is that he'll put us over the top IN the playoffs in a way that neither Travis, Blake, or Juwan would've been able to. I look forward to watching him block Andrew, Pau, & Kobe and I look forward to 20 rebound performances in key games. He has Finals experience and I think we will see that when the chips are on the table.

I know that lots of people want to avoid the Lakers but I really really want them. I think we can take them and I think our players think we can take them.

    Go Blazers

He doesn't have much time. He was brought here specifically to help us in the last 2 months of the season, plus playoffs. So he must hit the ground running. Even in the unlikely event that he re-signs with us, at age 35, we don't have time to grant him the same learning curve as a beginner, and we shouldn't have to.

He can hit the 15 footer, I've watched him do it for years. Thats just not the way this particular teams offense works.

I know he's capable of it; he just hasn't done it here yet.
This particular team's offense has had Juwan Howard hitting the 15 footer from the center position all year. How is it that the offense worked that way for him, but not Camby?

11 days later - and the Blazers are now up to #13 in defensive efficiency.

I think it is pretty clear that Camby, while offensively still somewhat out of sync - is far from a disappointment given his rebounding and defense - the areas he was brought in to handle.

    Go Blazers.

I am disappointed that he wasn't this good earlier. I blame Nate McIdiot - clearly he was holding him back. Probably by playing Blake earlier in the season.

I'm very disappointed. After the chant during the OKC game last night and Paul Allen repeating the chant a couple of times in the back hallway, his price just went up 2 million a year.

just wanted to add to this that Batum's return probably isn't hurting the Blazer defense either

What's the point of this? I was disappointed with what we saw out of Camby the first two weeks. Since then, I have been very pleased and impressed. Mixum could say the exact same. What's wrong with that?

The first few weeks Camby was on the team, he was about what I expected. Lately, he's really begun to fit into the scheme and assert himself more. In the past couple of weeks Camby has exceeded my expectations.
