If I try all that at once I might just drink the Blazers, watch you just pee and shit, fuck the drink and help the Lakers. That's no good, even I need to lighten my load, after all, I still need to catch up on curb your enthusiasm. That's what she said! You will, but you might be going by the name auntie Ty by then. GOD
If you want to know much faith management has in Oden, look at all the money they gave to Camby. Trading our two best bench players for a center and then extending his contract means they don't expect Oden to do much for this team anytime soon.
How so? Oden and Aldridge will start...who plays all the backup minutes at 4 and 5? Camby. Thus the signing. Camby is a very useful player even if Oden and Aldridge play every game. He makes handy insurance in case one (say, Oden) misses significant time.
Howard (4/5), Cunningham (4), and Pendergraph (4/5) until Joel comes back. People forget how many big games we won with Howard as center.
Yes but Cunningham and Pendergraph are youger and we'd still have Blake and Outlaw. Look, if Camby helps us win now, I'm fine with it. But if we're no better than last year, then all we've done is gotten older.
I don't think many people have forgotten. I think few believe that that will continue into the future. Przybilla may never return as an effective NBA player. The injury he suffered, unlike Oden's, can completely change/end a player's basketball ability. We'll just have to agree to disagree on Cunningham and Pendergraph as good solutions as primary backups to the power positions. I think they're okay depth but not good primary reserve bigs. In any case, I don't think Camby being signed says much about the team's outlook on Oden for next season. Oden, Aldridge and Camby can all play 30+ minutes per game.
