The Clippers will keep CP3, Griffin, JJ, and Jordan...they will let Crawford walk( they didn't even want him back this year, and kept him begrudgingly) and rivers will give all those minutes to his son....the Clippers will sign mediocre journeymen to their bench for cheap and repeat first round exits.
I've been thinking about playoff matchups....and I know the Blazers will most likely play the Clips, with a small chance we play the Thunder...I think we match up pretty good with both teams....though our brand of fast paced small ball would work best against the Clippers....and I would like nothing better than to see Doc Rivers face after we eliminate the Clippers from the playoffs...Stotts can look over at Rivers and say " Sit down you bleeping punk"
Yeah if they lose to the Warriors thats certainly the case. But if some young inexperienced team thrown together in the last few months with 4 new starters and one returning big minute player beats them in the first round? I think it could really have those Clippers question if their core ever has a chance to contend for a title.
NBA doesn't want us to play the Clippers. NBA much prefers Mavs-Clippers so they can beat the Deandre Jordan story-line to death. If there are unexpectedly a ton of foul calls against Portland tomorrow night...
It's either gonna be that or we'll have to see a bunch of games with Damian Lillard superimposed as a toddler... for marketing reasons. :MARIS61:
I can see the NBA suits frantically trying to figure out how to push us back to 7th so they can milk the "Blazer soccer moms" vs LMA angle.
Can we even finish that far down? I heard we have a 97% chance of getting the 5th seed.... dunno how accurate it was... I heard it randomly the other day.
