A non-athlete who has no idea how to operate a clutch trying to use the word as a sports metaphor.

You just can't make this shut up.

Lillard's 'clutch' numbers are going to be down because teams can scheme for him, trap, blitz and double him late in games and he doesn't have many other options besides CJ. Look how fast Crabbe got rid of the ball last night when Dame and CJ were covered (who they were running screens for and Philly just switched everything). Crabbe wanted no part of the ball and immediately gave it back to Plumlee 25' from the hoop. I'm impressed Plums got as good of a look as he did.

Now this is not to completely ignore his 'clutch stats'. Last year I was talking about his "efficiency" and took a lot of flak for it. The types of shots he is taking almost guarantee he isn't going to shoot a high percentage. It's been a long time since the last "Lillard Time" because it's too easy right not for other teams to just double-team him. His shooting from '3' is quite disappointing to where Harkless shoots a higher percentage. Leaning/drifting '3's are not high percentage shots no matter who you are.

Get a little talent around him and I think you see him hit more big shots. He's just trying to do too much right now out of necessity AND a lack of trust.

I'm 100% with you A$AP Meyers, too bad in this forum Lillard is some kind of god and you can't say the truth about him.

Highest % of homer fans ---> Portland Trail Blazers

Pops would have nipped this in the bud. If it persisted he would chew Lillard out, and if he continued after a chewing-out he'd be benched. But Stotts? "Keep on shooting!" No 3-point attempt is a bad 3-point attempt.

Looking at all the problems this team has putting Lillard not being clutch at the top of the list seems silly.

they should waive Damian, as he's obviously the worst among us homer fans.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
I don't think Lillard is clutch or unclutch. He takes the hardest shots at the ends of games, with defenses focused on him. If McCollum took most of them, his percentages would sink too. You can certainly criticize, at times, his shot selection, but in last shot scenarios with just a few seconds on the clock, there's often not enough time for proper ball movement.

The problem with Lillard is his defense and, to a lesser extent, his shot selection. Dinging (or praising) him for clutchness or leadership is focusing on the tiny things that make no difference when there are such large, structural problems with the team.

Nice second account ASAP Meyers. Next time make sure the second account actually has a decent amount of posts if you don't want to make it super obvious.

Lillard has the 11th most points in the clutch and as TBpup points out here thats with NOONE wanting to help him out. Its not just at the end of games either, half our offense wants to sit around and watch as CJ and dame are the only two doing things.

The real question is: since Tunchi was banned, how long is it gonna take to ban A$AP? It's clearly the same troll.

Different IP address than Tunchi. Also this person is starting threads while Tunchi didn't really do that. There is nothing wrong starting a thread complaining about Lillard. While I may not personally agree with his post he has done nothing wrong to get banned over.

What was Tunchi banned for? Didn't even realized he was banned until a few weeks ago when someone at my work pointed it out. Figured he just took a break from because there were only so many times he could say "I told you so".
