I hate water and boats unless its for fishing. So we will probably be staying on the island, drinking, lounging, eating, riding go karts around.

Remember you don't need a prescription for the pharmacies down there. You've never tanned until you've used sun tan lotion w/ codeine in it.

Chichen Itza is worth the visit as well as Telum, Xel ha, and Xcaret. Problem with doing all inclusive is that you never want to leave your hotel to see the local cool shit.

You silly fools, playing with your lives by going to third world countries.

Go to Canada. You'll be safer.

    Wouldn't book it.

They may open in November but that doesn't mean they'll be close to being finished. And what are you going to do when you get there? Can't go anywhere else. You're stuck with a half finished room, no amenities, and the same buffet they provide to the construction workers. You bitch and they promise to give you half off your next stay there if you don't post negative reviews on the different travel sites.

Read about the Resorts World cluster fuck in Bimini. Booked people in when the resort wasn't finished. The contractor filed a lean, power was turned off. People were fucked. I would wait a year after a resort opened before staying there.

I went in January 2000. It rained really hard, like nothing I've ever seen before.

It was like a steady stream from a hose full blast, not drops, lots of hoses. And the wind made it go sideways. The sky was nasty green, too.

I disliked hawaii. Felt like it was super touristy in lahaina. And that i was 5 seconds away from.someone unloading years of pent up rage and racist remarks against me.

I lived on Maui for 6 years. The native Hawaiians treated me extremely well. We were invited to (and went to) a number of events hosted by the native people, including weddings, graduations, baby showers, and assorted authentic luau's.

That goes with showing them the respect they deserve.

I knew plenty of white people who were oblivious to their plight (median income of $28K, their lands taken from them by government, their culture nearly wiped out for the sake of separation of church and state). They weren't treated very well at all.

There's a moral to that story, somewhere.

I did give the utmost respect. But when i hear from multiple hawaiians how their grandparents spewed constant hate against white people, they didnt know any better as kids so grew up hating them as well until they got to know white people.

Ive heard that from multiple hawaiians who live on the mainland.

So yeah, im a little uncomfortable when i see hawaiian people mean mugging me for no reason.
