I doubt anyone has a whole bunch of these. This camera is kinda hard to find. The Best Buy's around town sell out of them pretty fast. I just checked and a few Best Buys are sold out right now.
Anyone familiar with the D3000? Really considering getting it. Only $456 at amazon and it's supposed to be on par or better than the D60.
Without a doubt its the best non SLR on the market. You wont be dissapointed. I think I might sell my D60. I cant see myself using it much anymore now that I have the S90. Of course S90's pics arent as high quality as the D60, but pretty close and so its much much easier to pack around town.
The D3000 is Nikon's "replacement" for the D60. You'll get better high-ISO noise levels, faster processing, a better AF, and a larger, better screen. That's about it. If you have the extra $$, get the D90.
http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/ele/1611890934.html This is still for sale. Good deal. It will save you around $60-$90. Depending on the price you pay for the S90 new at the store. Best Buy has it for $399.99 now, but the price goes up to $429.99 when their stock gets low.
My buddy has already offered my $400 for it. D60 w/ lens, camera bag, etc. etc. So if I sell it I'll sell it to him.
I'm sitting between the D3000, the D40 and the D5000 right now. Just trying to decide if I want to spend the extra cash. Not looking to spend $1k on a camera(D90)
This guy seems to know a lot about cameras and doesn't seem to like the D3000. "worst DSLR ever" http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/d3000.htm amazon has it really cheap, but I will check that place out. Thanks!
Interesting article on the truth behind MP's in cameras. http://pogue.blogs.nytimes.com/2006/11/21/21pogues-posts-2/
Don't take Ken Rockwell's stuff too seriously. The guy has a lot of opinions and isn't bashful about expressing them, but some of them are just flat wrong...or at least don't fit with the advice of most professional photographers. If you want unbiased opinions about digital cameras I'd go to dpreview.com.
