    He was crying because he was so happy to be picked. He went to Weber State and ended up the #6 pick in the NBA draft.

    Did you even watch that draft? He was giddy to be going to Portland during his post-pick interview.

    It was the Memorial Day Miracle. Oddly, the NBA had a day game during the NBA conference finals. I was driving back to Portland from Ashland with my wife after spending the weekend with her family, and I stopped in Canyonville because the radio reception was about to go out. I heard that shot through a scratchy radio signal on 880am from Medford.

    No wonder your wife was looking at you like you were nuts. You had the wrong holiday!
