I think if you added someone like Jordan or McGee, with Tony Allen this team could be a 5th seed next year. We had no bench this year. You give us a bench, and Lillard continues to progress, this team could be a 5th seed.
I don't disagree with that. But I also think it's a team that would be lucky to see the 2nd round of the Playoffs. I just don't see the point in building a Playoff team that doesn't have a shot at developing into a Contender. As long as we build around a LMA-centric core we'll top out at "Denver Nuggets" - and we haven't even come close to reaching those heights.
See I disagree because the Denver nuggets never had a legit star. That argument could have been made if Lillard wasn't here; but now he is.
They traded away a guy who basically played the same position as Curry. Ellis was redundant. Both are ball-dominant guards who need the ball in their hands. Unless there is somebody on the Blazer roster right now who is similar to LMA, both in production and style of play, that comparison is laughable.
