Need to add another player to really step up to that top level, but you guys are crazy with the knocks on this team. Wait...our 6th dman Moore or Hunwick isn't great...SHOCKER because most teams have 6 great dmen...LOL. Of course our 6th dman isn't great. But as 6th dmen go Hunwick or Moore are solid. We have top upfront talent in the top 6. We have a top level D from 1-6. And we have a world class goalie. So just stop the nit-picking BS.

And Stepan is playing like a true # 1. Brass is playing like a true # 2. Zucc has gotten it together. Nash is a beast. Miller added depth. You guys are unreal. The team is playing great and all you guys do is still complain and act as if we aren't that good. My lord must be rough being a fan like that. When are you happy?
Nash is bringing home the bacon or they'd be down in Devils point territory most likely. The defense isn't top level imo, though Klein is playing like an AS.

From 1-6 we have a very solid D. Not the best in the league, but very solid. Sorry if you nit-pick our 6th dman, or still think Girardi stinks, but our D is solid 1-6. Not great or dominant, but very solid.
BTW...hope the Devs win some games. Don't want them with a top 2 pick. Figure Oilers are 1...hope Canes or Sabres get 2 over the Devs. Devs will be top 4 or 5 though.
Here is the bottom line to me. Solid team. That is what we are. To act as if we are not is comical to me. No one is in here saying we are awesome or the best, but we have a solid team. No doubt about it. And in hockey you can do some damage with a solid team as we all know.
I'ts not complaining more that i'm saying you might be getting ahead of yourself a little. They look like they're a good team but really they're being carried by 2-3 players right now. I love that Hayes Fast and Miller all seem to be progressing. They definately need at least one more quality finisher to make a run this year.
And i applaud Hunwick for holding his own but can you win 4 rounds with him? Not too sure. Even Staal i don't see as playing as well as people are saying, maybe im just missing it or something.

And I do agree with you that we need another top 9 forward, I have felt that way all season. So we agree there. But I think we can get that at the trade DL...and if we do watch out.
Nash, Klein and of late Lundqvist though he got off to an average start through November. Miller has been very good. Stepan somehow puts up the points but he piggybacks alot of great Nash plays. The Hayes signing was excellent.
As long as they don't play TB i'll say they could probably beat anyone in the east, but they'd do well to add that extra piece which will be tricky given the cap space.

If Boyle can add some O which i think he gradually will then they will be that much more potent. I'm not sitting here all negative, i'm just also being realistic regardless of the results as to the eye test of ways to improve.
No, you are being negative when you ignore all the stats and numbers and say 2 or 3 players have carried them, which is flat out not true. Again, not a great team, not a dominant team, not one of the top 4 or 5 teams, but they are a very solid team with some top talent guys (Nash and McD), and a world class goalie. No doubt a dangerous team, and if they add another top 9 forward I think we have a great shot to make some real noise again in the playoffs.
