The AFC is just too strong. Unless someone like Denver sneaks in, it's all AFC....</div>

nice call [IMG] ....... Yea ive said it since teh Carolina vs. Atlanta game Atlanta will represent the NFC. They have momentum, a good QB who can make oplays on his run, A GREAT RUNNING tandum, and a good Defense. I think resting McNabb was a mistake because he isnt used to playing only with mediocre WR's ghe did last year but he hasnt had much time on the field and i think they will regret it.

Ok, so the Panthers came up short... Looks like the road might be paved for the Packers to have another shot.

    Atlanta is overrated....

Atlanta is under-rated, they have gotten zero credit for anything. I dont care how poor the NFC is this year you still dont win 11 games if you're not a good football team.

The Falcons are above average and look great in a weak conference. As you said in a previous post, we will see how it all shakes out in the end.

How many times has Vegas been right?

Seriously, the best thing about the AFC teams. No damn birds as mascots. Should we rename the NFC - the polly wanna cracker conference?

Only a 1/4 of the conference...that's pretty funny. A whole quarter of a conference decided to name themselves after a bird. I guess ever since a team was named after the meat packing industry all the good names were taken. [IMG]

Have you seen the commercial for "Welcome to the Michael Vick experience" where the kid gets strapped in to the amusement park ride and ends up on the football field? I think it's ironic (and applicable) that the kid, as Michael Vick, doesn't have to attempt a pass. He's strapped into the chair and it's one big running play. That's my knock against Vick. He's not a QB. He's a running back wearing a QB's number. The commercial got it right...

Call me bitter, but maybe I'm still pissed off that he got into the Pro Bowl over Favre this year with those pathetic QB numbers.

Thats the same knock against Vick that everyone has, it doesnt matter to me, because I'm still convinced hes a QB and a good one at that. I think everyone is just bitter that their QBs cant run for shit and that hes winning games doing what hes doing. I'm telling you he can pass the ball just fine he just doesnt do it nearly as often as most of the QBs in the NFL. Any QB can pass the ball thats what they are supposed to do, but he does more than that and it makes him unique and harder to defend against. I personally like what he does for the position in changing it from being just a passing position to a pass/run, it gives more options and makes for a better watching experience. I really dont understand what everyones beef is with it, maybe its all just bitterness because I think its a good thing what hes doing I dont understand how it can be considered bad, hes doing what no other QB in the NFL right now can do and hes damn good at it, so let it be.

As far as Pro Bowl goes and Vick getting in over Favre, who cares. Pro Bowl is a big joke and waste of time anyway and its not like Favre hasnt gotten in at times before this year.

I don't think anyone is bitter. Vick hasn't done anything to be bitter over. If he wins a few championships, then you might see it...

Well if it isnt bitterness, what is it? A lot of people got some huge issues with him, maybe I'm just not seeing their point of view on this but it just makes no damn sense to me at all.

No Vegas thinks more people will bet on the eagles, that is how odds are made, not strictly by who you think will win.

    Only in an aviary.

He hasn't proven squat IMO. He is still more likely to trust his legs to win a game than his arm. Bryan Randall, Vick's replacement @ Va Tech, is a better QB at this very moment than MV.

If Vick who is now getting 100 million & undeservedly so than how much are Brady, Favre, & Peyton worth?

I know how odds are calculated and Vegas may be right in that regard. But, in the long run. The "experts", talking heads, & masses will be wrong more often than right. Not that I'm cynical or anything.

Vick hasnt proven anything in your opinion, or is it just the fact that he is changing the position of QB. He uses his legs and arm, and in doing that it forces you and the rest of the people who think he's nothing but a RB playing the QB position to change your narrow minded opinion of what a QB is supposed to be or do? You hate it because he's doing something different, and he's winning doing so, he has probably one of the top winning percentages and yet you disregard that completely it all comes back to passer rating, pass completion, yards or TD passes. The only important stat is the W. Its easy to see 4,000+ yards and 49 TD passes on paper and say "there is a great QB" and yes it is a great accomplishment but what Vick does isnt something that can be put on paper and that bothers quite a few people in here, and people in general. Many people dont like different, or change and personally I think thats what turns so many people off of Vick and its a shame, its time to stop living in a box!
