Depends -- have they found a decent QB yet?

I think they'll have another strong start, and another late fade, finishing in the upper-middle of the PAC. Their schedule is cushy this year, but I just don't think they have the consistency or the firepower to hang with the top-tier programs. They do have a knack for pulling off the occasional upset, but they also seem to always lose a few that they should have won on paper.

 

I think this is the biggest question. They have 2 "decent" QBs, but the Beavs really need one of them to step up to be a good PAC12 QB.

Well they lost Wheaton, which is a huge loss, but they've upgraded elsewhere and I believe they actually have more firepower this year. The offensive line supposedly has much more potential than they have ever had, so we'll see if they can turn that potential into performance. If they can use that to get back to the running game and ball control offense, they should finish pretty high in the PAC.

 

Agreed -- if they can get consistent QB play. Either Mannion or Vaz could be that guy, but my gut tells me it's not going to happen. I'm also of the opinion that the Beavs overachieved to a certain extent last year, so I don't really see it as a "they improved some pieces so they should have a better record" kind of situation.

 

I actually agree with this. I think they'll be more talented and a stronger team this year than last, but could very well end up with a worse record than last season.

it should be noted that in my initial post, i did not bold the last part. all i ask is that if you quote me, please quote me correctly and in context.

 

why would a status be changed because of an honest analysis? if that's the case, i would think every mod, administrator, etc. would have their status revoked a couple of times a day.

i've seen it before, but it's seldom used. actually, it's customary to delete the part of the quote you wish not to highlight. what i found interesting is the part you highlighted really didn't do anything to support your sexist claim that women should not talk about football. i think the majority knows that gender is not a requirement to be knowledgeable about sports. then again, it may have been an attempt at a joke.
