^ I'm sure your dad does all the time Great response I wouldn't expect a Cavs fan to agree with me right on that one right Jackass?
It's just the fact that Boozer plays with so much emotion that he yells at everything. He isn't trying to prove a point. But I guess I wouldn't expect a Raps Fan to know anything like that.
Well think of it this way.... If the Cavs were killing the ummm....Bulls, in the fourth quarter. Tyson Chandler comes up and dunks with two hands and screams like he won something. What would you think? If he was doing it to fire up his team I would understand...but he's not.
Or maybe coz it will look better in the Top Ten Plays countdown if he does that. I have to agree though. There's no point in showing too much emotion when you're losing badly.
Carlos Boozer Intreview <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">C-Booz, what an awesome start to the season you having. How much has coach Silas and his staff changed the way you play? Also who would get the game winning rebound between you or coach Silas in his prime? Carlos Boozer: (Laughing.) To answer the first part, Coach Silas has helped me with my confidence and my game. For the second part, you got to go with Coach Silas, he's 16th all-time in rebounding in the NBA, so you have to go with the Old School Guy. (Laughing) ---------- Hey Carlos what would you do if LeBron came down the lane in the game Saturday? Carlos Boozer: (Laughing) I'm gonna block his shot! But if he has a step on me, he may lay it in. I don't want to be on that poster. ---------- Booz, what cds do you listen to before a game to get pumped, if any at all? Carlos Boozer: I listen to Jay-Z all day, every day. And sometimes 50-Cent.</div> Full Interview
Incredible, Indelible <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> What you see is definitely what you get with Boozer. That's why, perhaps, it hurt so much that 34 times the clear talent was passed over in the 2002 NBA draft, why he shed embarrassed tears as he watched and waited with his family while the champagne chilling to toast his selection turned colder and colder without a pop. Did no one else see the potential for the double-double averages, that in just his second season in the NBA he would be one of a handful in the league with double-digit points and rebounds like his current 14.6 points and 11.0 rebounds? That he would be selected to the all-rookie and all-sophomore teams in back-to-back All-Star weekends? What more did he have to prove when everything was right there in front of them? That is what drives him now, the memory that 34 times no one saw the obvious. </div> Full Story ^ Great article people, I demand you check it out, thanks. KJ
Time to throw out Duke trash talk <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">When you get around to your spring cleaning -- it's never too early -- feel free to toss that Dukies-don't-make-good-pros legend. Carlos Boozer, Elton Brand and Corey Maggette will be happy to come over and help. While Boozer, Brand and Maggette still don't give Duke that one shining megastar to gloss over their school's list of disappointments, they stand as proof that coach Mike Krzyzewski's system doesn't permanently disembowel players of whatever NBA genes they may have. Take away UCLA's Baron Davis, Kansas' Paul Pierce, Maryland's Steve Francis and North Carolina's Vince Carter and those schools would be trying to live down the same track record of multiple lottery picks who have failed to live up to expectation.</div> Full Story Time to cut the talk, we got some great Dukie players here, but I would have never guessed that Boozer would have came out like this.
Great and very inspiring article. Boozer is now officially my third fave player after K-Mart and Kidd. hehehe
