    So, he's insignificant now? Well, the topic of the thread seems to say otherwise.

    Come on peg, we discuss lots of insignificant things
    </div>

    The fact that someone went and wrote an article about him doesn't exactly make him seem insignificant.

    Don't worry, there are Nets fans that call him insignificant (in terms of the NBA as a whole) too

    God, its a really simple point. All I'm saying is that complaining about VC haters is as stupid as me complaining about Andrea Bargnani haters. In reality, nobody outside both fanbases cares enough to bother "hating" on either player. Some people just need to accept that fact and understand that a negative opinion is exactly that: a negative opinion. Not somesort of worldwide agenda to slander your favourite player.

    Now I think I'll step out of this thread and allow for a handful of "OMG a Raptors fan...." responses.

    What a bunch of crock. I live in Toronto and I know first hand that that statement is not true. Moreoever, there is a much more popular Raptor message board out there, in which a Vince Carter thread shows up every 2 or 3 days a week (that lasts at minimum 7 or 8 pages). It's mindboggling how Torontonians cannot get over Carter.

    Must have been the same Nets fans that were cheering and whooping it up after this article and have similar sentiments to it.

    And all those people chant to the top of their lungs drowning out studio announcers every time Carter is in town, right. It's a completely normal occurrence.

    Not the same. Insignificant means he isn't even worth that much scorn

    Seeing you post for a few years, I'm quite confident that your first hand knowledge is derived from people ****ing with you and your admiration of Vince.

    It is the morons that get on TV in scenes like that. Hardly representative of the entire fan base.

    Yes, I live in Toronto too. And VC is on nobody's mind until the Raps actually face the Nets. If you can't recognize the huge difference from when he left to now, then I don't know what to say. Booing him has become a habit more than an expression of genuine hatred. We just don't care about him anymore.

    Also, if you're pointing to RealGM as a representation of the Raptors fanbase then all I can do is laugh.

    Yes, because taunting a player that has demonstrated a fragile emotional state before never happens in sports.

    What is serious is your inability to process information as anything other than Vince-hate

    Please, the same people who will say VC is insignificant will be the same people you will most likely taking shots at him about his status as a player in the league, on the Nets, and his history in the league. The only rationale needed is it's a negative shot against Carter. Carter insignificant? You betta ya! Carter a career loser? Oh, yeah baby!
