Lucia hunted this morning. For reasons best known to herself, she briefly jumped into the bathtub with her prey. I had to clean feathers out of the tub.
Took Lucia for her shots. V.E.T is short staffed so not making vaccination appointments so I had to take her to pop up clinic at pet food store other end of town. Lucia was amazingly well behaved, sat in her carrier while technician jabbed her. She did meow afterwards but after three needles can't blame her. She is a bit sulky. All the adult, supposed, humans who piss and moan about Covid shot. Cat gets three at once.
Ouchie! But at least you knew what was happening and why. Cats cannot understand why normally well trained human at intervals goes mad, stuffs them into carrier, takes them to strange place with unfamiliar humans, cats, even dogs, where they get painfully stuck with needles. To add injury to injury, I was afraid she might fight (she didn't) so evening before appointment clipped Lucia's claws.
Why is it that when cats come in on a rainy day with soaking wet fur, they invariably want to be picked up or sit on human's lap?
our outdoor cat i think likes it. So he can get a towell rub down when coming back in. Always purrs aNd pushes into the towel. Lol.
Best not to delay during the impossible task of trying to figure that one out and instead immediately respond to your cat's demand for prompt and excellent attention. You know what they say "Happy cat, happy life".
