Hours after learning he was passed over for the All-Star game, James was 5-of-19 for 12 points. The sensational rookie, coming off a career-high 38-point game, was not among the 14 reserves announced Tuesday. Boozer made two free throws with 8.9 seconds left, after grabbing an offensive rebound off one of James' many missed shots, to give Cleveland the lead for good. Zydrunas Ilgauskas had 15 points and Jeff McInnis added 11 points for the Cavaliers, who have won seven of nine.</div> Full Story Box Score
Oh hell no CourtVision. You keep our little argument to the Pistons forum. Especially when we have our own preview. Don't make your point in a place where the other Piston fans won't see it. Don't you want to have a nice debate? Edit: Good game, good win. Deep down I did know that the Cavaliers would win, so we are even KJ.
CourtVision the odds aren't good for you buddy,so don't even go there. Impressive performance by the Cavs,Boozer is a stud, future all-star without a doubt.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting CourtVision:</div><div class="quote_post">Wow...the Pistons could sure use Melo right about now.....</div> I second that opinion, what a waste on Darko, anyways great win for the Cavs after beating the Wizards.

Don't worry about it, I'm just joking around too. People always take me seriously, in real life as well as on the boards. KJ: You're right, it is never wise to talk early. This was the first time this season that I had seen Boozer play and I was impressed. He is going to become an excellent player. However, I think the Pistons could have won the game if we could shoot free throws. We missed 10 FT and 4 of those were by Corliss who is a 78% FT shooter. Dissapointing.
I really had a gut feeling we would lose when the Pistons tied it up at 80. Our offensive execution in the final minutes is still very poor. We are content to pass it around the outside and then fire up a 20 footer up against the shot clock. If not for Boozer hustling back to the offensive end and Mcinnis hitting him with a great bounce pass, I don't know if we would have scored in the last few minutes. Lebron was forcing it again tonight. He and Z fall in love with outside shots when their strength is taking it hard to the hoop. Boozer continues to be an animal. He is starting to attack the hoop more often and is becoming an excellent finisher in traffic. He cut back on the jump shots tonight and I didn't see one of his twisting fadeaways tonight, so thats a good sign. I missed the memo where Diop became our number one scoring option when he is in the game. He was tossing up jumpers like it was his job. I couldn't believe it. He was a man on the boards though and his hustle and ability to always contest a shot is very big for us. We are taking care of business against poor teams and now are knocking off good teams more consistently. This team is really taking shape. Its a litte frustrating that we often get off to 30+ point first quarters and then don't even reach 90 before the game is over. We need to find a little more offensive consistency. When Lebron and Booz are both out, we are hard up for points. Wags provides some punch, but we still could use an outside shooter. Also, why does Newble get all this PT where as Brown keeps racking up DNPs? At least Kedrick provides some athleticsm and a 3 point shot when he is on the court. I don't see where Newble is that better of a defender to warrant Brown never seeing the court. Maybe the Cavs just feel guilty sitting Newble after signing him to a 5 year deal (guh).
Cavs are 8-3 the last 11 games I love this stuff... 3-0 vs. Phili 2-0 vs. Seattle 2-0 vs. New York 2-1 vs. Detroit 2-1 vs. Washington 1-1 vs. New Orleans 1-1 vs. Portland 1-1 vs. Miami 1-1 vs. Orlando Tough ones are... 1-1 vs. Chicago 1-1 vs. Hawks 1-1 vs. Clippers 0-2 vs. Boston 0-2 vs. Toronto 0-2 vs. Denver Of course most these losses coming when we still had Davis and Miles. Does anyone really miss those guys? Looks like the trades have worked out amazing.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting King James:</div><div class="quote_post"> Tough ones are... 1-1 vs. Clippers </div> How come? I kinda see your view, but the Clipps are playing on the same level as the Blazers. Don't be ashamed that you're 1-1 against them, you're also 1-1 against my struggling team. Why are the Clipps a "tough one"?
Because their defense stinks and the Cavs are one of the better defending teams in the league. We blew them out the first time we played them, but in that 2nd game we looked terrible, just terrible.
Clippers defense may be poor but they have 3 big time scorers on offense.Clippers would be a top 6 seed if they were in the east,I wouldn't let them being around 10/11th seed in the west fool you.
I hadn't seen the Cavs play much this year, but it looks like I've been missing a great team although their record indicates otherwise. But I guess like KJ points out, the Cavs are riding a nice hot streak that comes from dealing Ricky Davis and Darius Miles, the ultimate team players (thick sarcasm). I was very impressed by the team's defensive tenacity and the interior play of Ilgauskus and Boozer. The more teams I see play from the East, the more I worry about what my Pacers will have to deal with after the all-star break and in the playoffs.
^ Need I remind you guys that Elton Brand did not play in either one of those 2 games? On to more news after this Cavs win... The Cavs are back to 2.5 games out for the 8th seed and here is how it looks. 6. Toronto 22-24 7. New York 23-27 8. Boston 22-27 9. Miami 21-28 10. Philadelphia 20-29 11. Cleveland 19-29 Cavs are the hottest team of the bunch, things are getting interesting.
Absolutely KJ. I think the Cavs and the Knicks will both finish the season strong and shake up the Eastern Conference a little bit. They are definitely capable of challenging the Pacers on a good night.

The Pacers have yet to see this McInnis Cavs team that has only lost one game so far (how the hell is that?) I loved the James/Artest battles.
The Cavs worst losses of the year have been losses to the short handed Bulls and Lakers, the 73-68 (something like that) loss to the Raptors, and the blow out loss to the Warriors sandwiched between wins at Seattle and Utah. Right now I think that the playoff race will come down to the Knicks, Heat, and Cavs. One of those 3 will probably get left out, unless the Raptors can't turn their ship around, then all 3 might sneak in. The Celtics and Sixers are pretty much one man shows and both are sinking fast. Throw in a little coaching turmoil and they are pretty much screwed. The Cavs match up well against just about every team in the East. They've won 2 out of 3 against the Pistons (should be 3-0), they've been in every game against the Pacers down to the wire (all the games were before we assembled our current line up), we've beaten the Hornets, are 2-0 agains the Knicks and played Milwaukee tight despite having a miserable shooting game in our only meeting thus far. I'm confident that we could win at least 2 games against any team in the East in a 7 game series, except for the Nets. We don't match up with the Nets well at all. They have a bunch of team speed and no lumbering low post guys to slow things down. Kidd, Jefferson, and Kittles can all get to the rack and we don't have the kind of perimeter defenders to keep them away from the hoop. The Nets really aren't a great shooting team, but it doesn't matter because they run lay up and drunk drills against us. Things could be different against them with our new, improved squad, but they'd be the last team I'd want us facing in the playoffs.
Yes, that Net game was ugly, we were blew out and there was nothing we could do about it. It was at their place though, they are still tough at home, same for the Bucks. People are still giving the Haet more credit than the Cavs when we have been playing much better the last few weeks. Maybe this win can turn that around.
