If the Cavs were dealt a big loss to the shorthanded Lakers earlier in the season, this next Cavs/Lakers game should be a great test. Are the Cavs really so improved with the addition of McInnis? I've always looked at McInnis in a negative light; sort of similar to Tyronne Lue, Alvin Williams.
The Cavs are starting to get some respect. I was hovering around the boards of ESPN and the Heat and Celtics fans were talking about how the Cavs were coming on and they were more worried about us than any other team at this point. The Knicks however seem to think they are the best in the East now though, but what do you expect from New Yorkers? Also, on ESPN Fastbreak tonight, Greg Anthony said that he thinks that the Cavs will win more games in the 2nd half of the season than any other team in the East. I don't think that will happen, but thats quite a bit of praise. I don't see us winning more than the Pacers, Pistons, and Nets, but I don't see why we couldn't be right there in 4th position.
I believe The Cavs will play .500 ball in the 2nd half of the season. It looks like they finally got what it takes to accomplish a playoff spot. I truely believe we will, however, Indiana and New York will shine during the post season. I promise that.
Redscoon: I couldn't agree more that the Cavs can finish in 4th, but the Knicks fans have every right to be optimistic. After all, they've won 7 of their last 10 and are ecstatic to have Marbury in the organization. The Heat and the Celtics are each about as good as their records indicate and shouldn't pose any problems for the rejuvenated Cavs.
Cavs were just under .500 ball after the Davis trade, but since the Miles trade, look what we have done. I have seen every game and I am unsure who whould get the most love here. James for stepping up the last 20 games scoring over 24 a game? Boozer for stepping up and being the 2nd scoring option and being a super beats on the boards? Ilgauskas for playing more aggressive and hushing the trade talks for now? Wagner for giving us a huge spark off the the bench? McInnis for pushing the basketball and putting an order to this offense? The every day habits of Williams and battie finally wearing off on the rest of the team? Well ok then, it is a little of everything. Have to give some love to coach Silas too.
I was talking 4th in number wins after the All Star Break, not 4th in the standings. 6th place is a possibility, but that is as high as the Cavs can get barring a catastrophe for the Bucks or Hornets. The Knicks are tough, but talks of meeting the Pacers in the EC finals is a little premature in my opinion. Oh, and King, I think the biggest reason for winning games all of a sudden was sending Bremer to the IR. :biggrin2:

Don't bring up Bremer! His picture is on a milk carton in Sacramento because that is the last time he was seen. He is exactly what we need, but who knows what is wrong with the guy, what a major disappointment.

Cavaliers cook with proper mix <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">This is a tale of two mottos. One for mass consumption, the other for players inside a locker room. In LeBron America trusts. In each other the Cavaliers trust. That's a significant distinction and a major reason the surging Cavs find themselves being discussed as a possible playoff contender instead of a lock for the draft lottery. Let the rest of the country look at LeBron James as a one-man show. The 19-year-old rookie and the Cavs know otherwise.</div> Full Story
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Carter#15:</div><div class="quote_post">Cavs by 3.</div> WOW :bigthumbu. Great game Cavs. I belive that they will won it. 7-3 in last 10 games - wow again. Its closer to Play-offs. Boozer have another good game. LeBron have 5-20 But he was guarded tightly by Rip. We are waiting for win with Lakers tonight.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting King James:</div><div class="quote_post">^ Need I remind you guys that Elton Brand did not play in either one of those 2 games? On to more news after this Cavs win... The Cavs are back to 2.5 games out for the 8th seed and here is how it looks. 6. Toronto 22-24 7. New York 23-27 8. Boston 22-27 9. Miami 21-28 10. Philadelphia 20-29 11. Cleveland 19-29 Cavs are the hottest team of the bunch, things are getting interesting.</div> Those records are so horrible.....
Well, I was shocked that the PISTONS ( :biggrin2: ) lost, but what shocked me more was LeBrons poor night. I thought he would go crazy on Rip, and AT LEAST get 25+. Pft, shows what I know. Gotta give my dues to Hamilton, though, played great against the King. I think bandwagon fans are starting to realize Cavs arn't a one-man team.
