Good game, and I love the way Desmond Mason lit it up with that alley oop he caught. Redd caught fire in the first half, and LeBron stayed in foul trouble, off of mostly questionable calls.

But one real question: Where was Boozer on the boards? He only had 6 rebounds.

Cavs will not win many if any games against good teams if they continue to shoot under 40%. Lebron really struggled. There is no need for him to be hoisting up 3s like he is Reggie Milller. To his defense, nobody else was doing anything offensively, so he probably felt that he had to do everything.

Brown shut Redd down in the 2nd, but we needed to get Wagner in down the stretch for some scoring. It doesn't do your team any good to trade missed baskets when you are losing.

Z played like garbage. He can't produce night in and night out. If you are being guarding by Skinner and you can't be productive yet you are making 12.5 mil, you should be ashamed.

Bucks are tough, but they seem to do be doing it with smoke and mirrors. If Redd doesn't have a good game, I don't see them being able to consistently beat quality teams.

Not true, even when Redd has a bad game they have guys who can step up in his place. They have a very deep roster with guys who can give them offense and rebounding. No doubt Redd is important to their success but they are far from a one man team. They are so tough at the bradley center.

    As for the game

Lebron really did a poor job late in the game, poor shot selection hurt him. However this is still a learning experience for him,you need these kind of games to become a better pro.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">With former Bucks coach George Karl making his first trip back to the Bradley Center, Michael Redd scored 24 points as Milwaukee held off the Cleveland Cavaliers 101-95 Friday night.

The big attraction for the sellout crowd of 18,717 was the first visit to Milwaukee by Cleveland rookie LeBron James, who missed three straight free throws in the final minute to scuttle what might have been a close finish.

With the Cavaliers trailing 96-91 with 41 seconds left, James was fouled by Joe Smith while shooting a 3-pointer.

James, who was just 7-of-25 from the floor and turned the ball over five times, missed the first shot and the crowd got loud. He missed again and the fans got even louder. When he missed his third, the place was rocking.

James finished with 20 points, and Carlos Boozer added 19.

He start he sat back & watched how effective the jumpshot was in Ray Allen's
game especially that quick release. And incorprated it in his game. Micheal Redd reminds me of a left hand Ray except I think Redd does a better job of going to the hole when he needs to. Never really seen him shoot alot of three's at ohio state but he could always score. I remember he put buckets on Ron Artest in the NCAA tournment.

Redd is an All-Star, and it will disappoint me if he's left off the roster because in reality, he is the leader of this Bucks team that continues to win with a rookie coach and a roster not as strong as a lot of teams who are doing worse.

Everything has been covered already, but I do hope people don't get on LeBron's back. Easy to forget the kid is still a rookie, despite his amazing stature.

Carlos Boozer: six boards, five offensive. Desmond Mason: WOW

Redscoon pretty much hit the nail on the head, and as I said earlier, this whole bunch playing together for the first time could help or hurt us...it hurt us all right, they were just standing around watching LeBron again, they got to move around!

My friend and I were talking about this the other day...we both agreed that Sconnie Penn was the better player of the two. Give Redd credit, he's become one of the best shooters in the game...

I didn't see the game but I saw the boxscore...ouch, Lebron had a terrible night...what happened to Kapono?

When James got the basketball and looks around, no one was moving, that pissed me and redscoon off all night, so he had to force the offense. That vrowd was no joke either, that helps their great home record no doubt, that place it tough.

Nothing is wrong with Kapono, he is just on the injury list because of the McInnis trade, because we can't accept a trade and put a player thatw as in that trade on the injury list, so they made up a bogus injury for Kapono to put him on.

This sounded like a pretty big upset, especially since LeBron wasn't playing as well as his usual self. Sad to hear about Boozer not performing his usual best, sounds like the Cavaliers were really trying hard though, so not too bad of a loss. Great for the Bucks, shows that they're a pretty good team, come this year and next year.

It wasn't a pretty big upset. The Bucks, for the most part, were expected to win. Of course, it's disheartening to Cavaliers' fans because their fourth quarter play regressed last night.

LeBron stunk it up in the 4th, but that dunk was something else, that elevation was crazy, but his dunk was out done by that D Mase alley oop, he went over his opponents head, I think it was James. It was a pretty good game, Mike Redd has one of the fastest releases i have ever seen.

Not to mention Desmond Mason is a good defender, and he repeatly ran James into baseline double doubles in the fourth.

That and they were playing a shadow defense on him. After Bron would get past the man he was guarding, there was always someone else right there in front of him.

Outstanding team defense on James last night.

    Bucks snap Cavaliers' streak

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Redd finishes game with 24 points during his first matchup against James

All that was missing was a little scarlet and gray.

Michael Redd and LeBron James had an inspiring first encounter Friday night, the beginning of what promises to be a long line of Buckeyes showdowns.

In fact, the events at Bradley Center left quite a few hints to the future as two of the Eastern Conference's up-and-coming teams and their up-and-coming stars put on quite a show for national television.

The Bucks took round one, 101-95, though it shouldn't break the Cavaliers' spirits. It snapped their three-game winning streak but was hardly inexcusable, as it was the Bucks' 14th home win in their past 15 tries.

Redd, a Columbus native and former Ohio State star, scored 24 points with some fantastic plays to lead his team. James wasn't at the top of his game, finishing just 7-of-23 from the floor for 20 points. But he had enough highlights to make it memorable and whet the appetite for future match-ups with Redd.

Yeah, I saw that, too. Plus, it was to the Bucks' advantage that they didn't have to guard anyone else on the floor.

Of course, the Cavaliers played right into the Bucks defensive plans when they were not moving around for James, who had to shoot 3's late in the shot clock.

I hope this is a wake up call for the next game @ the Wizards.

The Wiz don't have a Michael Redd though, so I like my chances already [IMG]

I can't believe james missed those 3 free throws in a row when he was fouled. Wouldnt 3 makes, put them down by 2. I can't believe how good Redd could shoot and yes Lebrons dunk was amazing. The dunk contest would have been somethin with bron in it.

It was a good game, Washington shouldnt be too hard.

I think Lebron would have been fine had he hit the first one, but once he missed it, the crowd starting going wild and he started thinking. Once you start thinking about hitting free throws, you're screwed. In all reality, even if he hits those, the chances were quite slim that we could tie the game up to force OT anyway.

The Bucks are a good team and the Cavs can't win them all, so its time to move foward. The game this afternoon will be big for the Cavs. When we won three in a row right after the Boston trade, we couldn't keep the momentum up after the streak ended. The Cavs need to take care of business against the Wizards and start another streak.
